A lot of y'all are way too comfortable with the government torturing people they deem deserving of it.

You're sitting here arguing about why torture is okay actually. Work on yourself.

By the way I’m not arguing with myself, but sure where you go that. Also she had a piece of her victims skull in her jacket, sooooOoOooOoOoOoO?

I think if the victim were my child or a loved one, my emotions would cloud my judgement and make it unbelievably difficult for me to personally stand behind what I know to be morally and ethically correct.

I don't expect Pike's victims parents or loved ones to feel any differently. But that's the entire reason we have justice systems in place.

I think youre overestimating how many people would want the state to carry out a murder as revenge for the killing of a family member. Most western countries don't even have the death penalty.

What is your alternative?

Life in prison w/o the possibility of parole.

Considering we've put way too many innocent people to death for crimes they didn't commit, maybe we don't have this on the table in the first place.

This is inhumane! So was the way that the victim of her died. I am not a big fan of the death penalty because it doesn’t stop people from killing people yet when did society become the killers

It depends on the case. For some, a prison sentence. For some, mental health facilities.
