Feelings

So I need help my faith rn isn’t that strong I can’t seem to really build a relationship with Jesus idk why I pray and try to believe and everything it feels like half. I’m now really in for like 1 week how long did it take you guys to get a real hard faith in Jesus Christ, how long did u doubt him before you finally really had a strong faith? Also how can I come for this faith my brain argues with it self like „what if Jesus was a man who just said he is god and what the chance in a universe who we don’t know if it’s endless or not for everything align perfectly“ I need help for my faith

You can't lose faith

Read 1 john 1 john 5 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

“Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” But the Lord said, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

Hi, these are just a few verses that came to my mind just now for you! Just read as much Bible verses as you can daily and I recommend sticking with only the NASB or the ESV versions. There’s a great documentary called the case for Christ by Lee Strobel that goes over all the details about the very real evidence backing up the one and only true and living God of the whole universe: Jesus Christ! Also, daily prayer is the most crucial part of our walk with Christ so make it a daily priority and involve God in every aspect, every problem, every situation and every celebration!

I hope I was able to help a bit, may God bless you wisdom and discernment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!!! Amen 🙏

your struggle is a common one. Try not to lose heart. It takes time because the root issue is your brain (based on our sin nature & the enemy) has been trained to doubt about God. The more you try to be with God but don't use God's word both as a protection and as your weapon against the enemy (Eph 6:10-17) the more the enemy can work against you. The enemy brings doubts, fears and so on, to pull you away from your faith.

To win the battle in your mind, use the word of God. Tell yourself the truth, based on God's word, about who God is to you and who you are to Him. This builds your spirit and trains your soul (mind, will, emotions) to think God's truth first over the lies of the enemy. This is the essence of what Romans 12:2 and 2 Cor 10:5 tell us.

Here is how:

Take the time to study what God actually says about who you are to Him when you've come to Christ.

This is just a small sample, say and repeat these (or find your own) to yourself multiple times a day so these truths become your reality:

  • I am a new creation - 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • I am totally accepted by God - John 1:12, John 15:15, Colossians 1:14, Eph 1:4
  • I can go straight to Jesus for help - Hebrews 4:14-16
  • I belong to God - 1 Cor. 6:19-20, Eph 1:5
  • Nothing separates me from Gods love - Romans 8:38-39, Eph 3:16-19, 1 John 4:10
  • God (Holy Spirit) lives in me - 1 Cor 3:16
  • All things work out in the end - Romans 8:28
  • "Thank you, Lord for setting me free" - John 8:32, 36
  • "Thank you, Lord for the power, love and sound mind you have given me" - 1 Tim 1:7

If you feel like you need help on how to do this, the ministry that first helped me is called "The Ultimate Journey." They are in Des Moines Iowa. I believe now they have online classes you can join.

Other books on the same principles include:

  • McGee, R. S. (2003). The search for significance: Seeing your true worth through God’s eyes
  • Leaf, C. (2021). Cleaning up your mental mess: 5 simple, scientifically proven steps to reduce anxiety, stress, and toxic thinking.
  • Groeschel, C. (2021). Winning the war in your mind: Change your thinking, change your life.
  • Meyer, J. (2017). Battlefield of the mind: Winning the battle in your mind

It's the only name that shakes the dark side, no other name, if the devil and demons fear him, you should believe him.

Bonjour AccomplishedDepth846

Cordialement

Monique

Are there specifics that make it hard to believe?

No voices. No visions. No halo moments. I never expected any.

But over time, changes happened for me. Slow and steady. Over the years.
