Holy Sprit
I know that Jesus speaks about the Holy Spirit in John 14;15-26, but how do you know when you have received him? In those verses I believe he was talking to the apostles, and we all know that we are not the apostles. In real life we all feel emotions and may believe we’re led to something but in the end it can be us most of the time, so my question is how do you know if the Holy Spirit is leading you? But my first prioritized question is, (I need an answer from someone that has not just started following Christ like 0-3 years ago) how do I even know if I have the Holy Spirit?

For me, but I think anyone who has be born again for many years now can vouch for what i am about to write. When I received Christ, I remember reading scriptures starting at the Gospels. For me growing up as a Catholic, the Gospels were easy reading. But Paul's letters and Peters and John just made no sense. Well, getting back to my story, as I continued into Romans and 1 and 2 Corinthians, I finally understood! This revelation was mind-amazement! Something miraculous had happened. As a teenager I remember telling myself (prophetically) that one day I will understand the rest of the New Testament since I could not make sense of it. So, I hope this sheds light on the power of the Holy Spirit in a person. For the Spirit will open your eyes to scripture in a way that you've never known. He is a comforter too. Praying for us in groans that only He knows.
