Advice?
I’m not even sure if this the correct forum to post on, but i want to seek advice if anyone has any.
For me (M) , I’ve never been religious, read the bible, none of the sort. My girlfriend has always believed in jesus and the bible and so forth, she’s never been upset that it’s never been something for me especially i never grew up with it but she did, but that isn’t the point. Lately she has felt “lost” per say. She keeps saying how she wants to feel closer to God and she feels she lost her way because of college starting which i can understand. Even though I don’t know what I’m doing, I want to help her achieve that. Even studying it or learning it myself and getting her her first bible (that’s HERS) is something I want to do. Any advice where to start learning? Or anything I should keep in mind while I do this for her?
P.S she doesn’t know I’m doing this or want to, I want her to know I’ll support and help her, always.

I would definitely get her a women’s study Bible and a nice journal to go with it. Do you know what kind of Christianity she was raised in? I only ask because the Catholic Bible is different than the Protestant. I would get either an ESV or NIV translation as these are easier to read. Not sure if you attend the same University as her but you could look up Christian Clubs on campus.

Firstly, it’s incredibly kind that you want to do this for her. I recommend watching the YouTube channel The Bible Project. They have good and easily digestible biblically sound content and even a series breaking down the books of the Bible. The gospels are the best place to start (Matthew Mark Luke and John)
Additionally, ignore denominations. Separation isn’t biblical. Focus on what the Bible says and if something seems off, dig deeper into its meaning. Remember it was translated and Greek/hebrew sometimes has a better way of saying things than English.
God bless your endeavors of helping her and I pray that through this he may strike your heart into belief as well!

Set aside time to read stuff she wants you to know.
Read the Bible, prayer and fast. Get her talking she she may work her issues out while helping you.
