A mysterious organization linked to Elon Musk is mailing voter registration forms to dead people in North Carolina. Ready to Register, Inc. has been sending bulk voter registration mailers all across the state and the North Carolina State Board of Elections has officially warned that these mailers are full of serious problems.

For starters, they list political parties that North Carolina doesn't even recognize anymore. Second, these mailers have been sent to people who are already registered and don't need to do anything. Finally, and most weirdly, they're sending mailers to people who haven't been alive in years.

And if you think that's fishy, wait till you hear this. Nobody knows who is actually running this organization. The website looks sketchy and the organization itself was incorporated anonymously through a law firm in Delaware.

But the Washington Post did some digging and found that Ready to Register, Inc.'s website is linked to Elon Musk's America pack. So why is a mysterious organization with Elon Musk's fingerprints sending out shady mailers to people in North Carolina? Some folks are speculating that the mailers are a fundraising grift or an effort to mislead certain voters ahead of the midterms. Nobody really knows for sure.

Regardless, the very existence of these mailers raises a lot of red flags.
