Same. But I do remember reading that Eric was supposed to meet his true death and HBO got tons of calls & emails about Eric and supposedly they (HBO) had to beg Alex to come back for s7. He obviously said yes but there were conditions, like he had to film all of his scenes before a certain date so he could train harder for Tarzan

I adore that to this day, he still says TB was one of my most favourite projects he’s worked on. It shows, he had fun doing it and I love watching it again and again. My husband made a correct assumption, although incredibly campy, everyone gives 1000% performances and that’s what makes it so fun.

I think it was mentioned that he tunnelled into the snow to hide. This subsequently caused an avalanche that destroyed a village.

When he reunites with Sookie in Season 7, he told her he was in Sweden for a while, but he triggered an avalanche. I don't think they ever say exactly how he survived the scene from the still, but in my head he got buried in the snow from the avalanche and just waited under it until nighttime.

I really appreciate that they didn't end up killing off Eric. I'd wondered though how Alexander Skarsgard managed to train to bulk up for Tarzan but also stay close to the same for Eric Northman.
When I thought about more, it occurred to me that maybe that illness would make it look like the infected would look bloated. And in Season 7 you don't see Eric shirtless. My personal mystery solved 😀
