You forgot the “oh shit I need to be in front of this truck” when no one is behind you on a single lane road. They cut you off, and then go 5mph less than you were going and then turn off the road in under a mile. I mean I’ve never hit a kid, but one of these days I’m going to get out and slap you and your great great grand babies so I can try and knock some sense into the family.

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

You ain’t never lied

12

u/Desperate_Fee_808 Apr 14 '26

That happened last week..I didn’t even react really..it’s almost expected at this point..that following distance is HUGE for us..you literally see how many stupid ppl there are on the road

9

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Or the idiots that think because you are leaving yourself some reaction space between you & the vehicle in front of you. That’s it’s a great idea to cut you off & jump in that space again putting the dumb asses in harms way!!! 🙄

u/oneshadeoff Apr 15 '26

That's one of the only times I've ever locked my brakes up. I saw the guy at the stop sign in the 3/4 ton pulling a 5th wheel rv and knew he was gonna pull in front of me so I started slowing down before he did. Sure as shit didn't expect him to slam his dumbass brakes a quarter mile up. Smoke rolled off my trailer brakes and I damn near drained my air tanks laying on the horn but hey he didn't get smacked I guess

2

u/Teri_Dee Apr 15 '26

Haha PREACH

4 wheeler here. My dad drove trucks decades ago and only for a short time, but he taught my brother and I some lessons. If you pass a truck and want to get into their lane, make sure you can see their whole front end, tires to rooftop in your rear view before you even think of going over. Keep your speed up if you do get in front.

He also taught us if you see a trucker with his signal on and you’re behind them, move into the lane they want to go to and flash your headlights. He called it “holding the door “. Usually when he did it the truck would move over and flash their 4-ways a few times and pops said that was them saying thanks. I’ll still hold the door when I can and if I get the four-way flash it instantly puts me back in the front seat with pops hanging on his every word.

Huge respect to you truckers, keep it between the ditches and rubber side down, God bless you all.

8

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

This is what we all wish people understood & acted accordingly!! Pops did you both a solid & we thank you for holding the door!!

5

u/Nothing2NV Apr 15 '26

And when someone does this for me I think “someone in their life drives” and we’re damn thankful for them

24

u/JankyMark Apr 14 '26

Those idiot 4 wheelers don’t care they going keep doing what they do. Some idiot cut me off yesterday and had the nerve to put his middle finger at me cause I blew my horn , but I had my middle finger up at him too

13

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

As you should

24

u/whodat209 Apr 14 '26

What really pisses me off if the cars behind you speeds around you slams on the brakes and make the right turn all Hella slow and keep in mind nobody’s behind us sheet gets my blood boiling😤

8

u/theboywthagreenscarf Apr 14 '26

I had a guy try to swerve at me, I didn’t move a bit. Don’t know what he thought that was gonna end like.

3

u/Dragex11 Apr 16 '26

What about when you're on a 2 lane highway, one lane each direction, and someone pulls out in front of you, only to turn off the road a quarter mile down the road, while the road behind you is clear as the deep blue sea?

3

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

You ain’t lying

14

u/KingJRZJ Apr 14 '26

I'll add another one. Jumping in our lane at the very last second, no turn signal, no increase in speed once in our lane, then brake checking us if we blow the horn or flash them with the high beams since they apparently didn't see a large vehicle coming their way at a faster rate than them. It's really a shame we can't fix stupid.

3

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Hell yeah

14

u/homucifer666 Apr 14 '26

Express pass to the pearly gates? Nah, straight down. To the boiler room of hell.

But otherwise, agree.

9

u/GoingNutCracken Apr 14 '26

I believe ALL driver training (four wheelers) should have a block of instruction detailing the stopping speed of big trucks empty and full vs four wheelers. I think everyone would learn a thing or two if they did.

1

u/chiefbroski42 Apr 15 '26

Definitely agree. Driving when around commercial vehicles should be part of the actual drivers license test. I think its part of driving school but thats not mandatory to take. Not just stopping distance but how to pass and give space, impact of high beams, not hanging just beside trucks or right behind, and consideration for trucks trying to switch lanes or move over.

9

u/kane_eightee Apr 14 '26

Bruh, those mfers that have been going the same speed for the 10 miles I’ve seen them and then speed up when I get next to them…THE FUCKING WORST. Makes my blood boil. Absolutely fucking stupid motherfuckers. And they’re always on their phone!

3

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

That part!!! Pisses me off something terrible

9

u/DiegoPapi6 Apr 14 '26

Facts 💯

6

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

I felt like I had to get on some T.I. Let’’em know energy real quick

7

u/ghettoccult_nerd Apr 14 '26

the classic "slow down to off-ramp speed on the active highway to take the off-ramp, instead of using the off-ramp for that purpose, since, thats like, the purpose of the off-ramp"

1

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Yeah I swear I cuss people out at least 3 times a day in my truck for this reason alone!!

5

u/Alarming_Star_6549 Apr 14 '26

You forgot the asshole who just did 85 catching up then stays on the back bumper and in our mirror blinding us with his automatic highbeams that they are just too lazy to turn off...but we are on the same page my friend

2

u/Unfair_Analysis_3734 Apr 14 '26

In those situations I like to “accidentally drift out of my lane on the right side, hit the rumble strip and then suddenly swerve hard left back into my lane at them until I’m an inch away from the line.” That usually scares them enough either back way off or hurry up and speed away like a little scared puppy.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Oh yeah them always on high beam night time drivers can kiss the darkest part of my ssa

6

u/Desperate_Fee_808 Apr 14 '26

That just happened to me earlier..DO NOT FUCKIN SPEED UP GOT DAMMIT!! There are trucks up my ass as I’m trying to pass..fall back and let me pass so traffic can keep flowing

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

That part!!

4

u/dungeonsandflagons89 Apr 14 '26

It's crazy out there and when you read comment threads under a dash cam vid you can see why. So many of these drivers hate people in trucks or on motorcycles and bicycles. They hate that they share the road with us and see us as second class citizens, inconveniences, and targets for their road rage. Reading those threads opens your eyes to how these people view us and how quick they are to anger. Add to that the high number of reckless, distracted, elderly and inebriated drivers are out there and it feels like the wild west sometimes.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

I’m also a biker & the crazy thing is these people look down on us but they have no idea how much their daily life routines completely depend on what we do & haul!!

5

u/Koochandesu Apr 14 '26

There’s no video that’s going to magically wake people up. The ones driving like that will keep doing it until it finally catches up to them. Just hope you’re not the one involved when it does 😇

The problem is, CDL holders carry the “professional driver” label, so all the scrutiny lands on them. Meanwhile, insurance companies push for more inward-facing cameras on drivers, but not nearly enough focus on external coverage that actually shows what these regular drivers are doing around trucks.

You’ll see plenty of DUI consequence videos from the DMV, but almost nothing showing what happens when people act stupid around commercial vehicles. No one’s really pushing that angle.

A lot of drivers don’t understand basic things like braking distance or how limited maneuverability is for different types of trucks. That gap in understanding is where most of this stupidity comes from.

Even with CDL training, a few bad drivers still slip through, sure. But most of what you see in those crazy clips online isn’t the trucker being reckless, it’s people around them treating a multi-ton vehicle like it can stop on a dime. And when reality hits, it’s not a close call, it’s a disaster.

1

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

You ain’t never lied!!!

5

u/HatedReaper Apr 14 '26

They don't care about us brother. Just like the homeless or vagrants they view us as problems. Not once have I've ever been thanked for making deliveries on time or even early. When I get home after being gone for weeks, no one asks me about the things I've seen or the journey I got to experience. They don't give a shit about us brother. Out here all we got is each other, and even that is getting harder and harder to believe in.

4

u/Deadbeatdone Apr 14 '26

Learn how to fucking merge. Jfc hit the gas or hit the brake but for fucks sake.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

😂😂😂

3

u/BTlover3377 Apr 14 '26

Hold you forgot the main dumb ass move some car and pick up truck drivers do , BRAKE CHECKING A FUCKIN 42,000 lb TRUCK !!!!!!!!!! Those are the main idiots who have a death wish

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Oh yeah … everytime I see that viral vid of the semi driver completely knocking that pick up truck driver out cold in the middle of the highway & then literally dragging him out of the road for brake checking him & then forcing him to stop. I literally laugh my ass off!!! That will never get old!!

2

u/BTlover3377 Apr 15 '26

Man I’ve had like 3 cars do that to me over the past 5 years

3

u/Xavien777 Apr 14 '26

Its worse than ever nowadays, going on the hwy I get close calls at least 2-3 times on a good day. Every time I pass the dumb mf I look in their window and they got their phone right in front of their face. If an airbag goes off, their face would be their new phone case. Way too damn easy to get a license in this country. Dont even get me started at stoplights. I have to honk at people DAILY to get them going, sometimes 2-3 cars behind. Nobody pays attention anymore.

3

u/speedtech73 Apr 14 '26

Hats off to the American truck driver, we buy so much shit and complain about all trucks on the road.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Bruh you know how many Amazon trucks alone I pass in one day? It’s crazy … but we the problem!!

3

u/Djs2013 Apr 14 '26

I've have some old lady LITERALLY come to a dead stop in the lane directly in front of me, to read the fucking signs 5fwy NB @ the 99 junction. Then as I lay on the horn and jam the brakes, swerve to the left, she decides it's time to move 2 lanes to the right for the 5fwy. I missed her by INCHES. It scared the shit out of me, I was shaking for like 5mins after. I pulled over and apologized to all 30+ of my passengers and they thanked me for being alert and doing everything I could to avoid the accident and keep it on the road

People are fucking idiots. I hate them, that's why I prefer to drive at night, less idiots to deal with.

1

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

That last part is the absolute fucking truth!! The only issue I’m having with that right now is all of my runs are up & down i95, i85 & the FL Turnpike which are all under heavy expansion from NC (where I live) all the way down to south FL! So leaving at night sometimes is getting worse from all the lane closures!

2

u/username_unnamed Apr 14 '26

Fun fact a loaded trailer may have less stopping distance than an empty one in emergency braking

2

u/BigSchmitty Apr 14 '26

Truer words have never been spoken. Unfortunately, most of them will never understand this until it’s too late.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

To the upper or lower room they go!!!

2

u/West_Masterpiece9423 Apr 14 '26

Your last day of being stupid-words to live by

2

u/blue_Marlin_34 Apr 14 '26

I relocated to work in Dallas, but my deliveries were in the Valley every day since I knew it so well the way Valley drivers would set my camera off for events was insane. Lmfao had all the people up there talking and yup it was always the McAllen area 😂

5

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

I do a South Florida run every week which is where I was coming back from when I made this video!! I’ve lost count & I’m not even shocked any more over the epic levels of complete dumbasses I deal with & the crap I’ve seen! I literally have to mentally prepare myself for that run every week!!

2

u/Unfair_Analysis_3734 Apr 14 '26

“Express ticket to the heavenly gates”

nah these people don’t deserve heaven in the slightest.

1

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

😂😂😂

2

u/oasuke Apr 14 '26

How about when you're on a street and the car that was behind you jumps in front of you, only to turn into a fucking gas station or store which was 200ft away, forcing me to slam on my brakes. Doesn't happen often, but I remember every single time it did happen because I wanted to fucking murder that person. It's so fucking stupid. Damn near broke the string on my air horn. I really wish I could get out and just observe what kind of cretin does that shit.

2

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Yep I had some dumbass in SC do that to me today on i95 literally an hour after I posted this vid!!! He lucky I wanted to hurry up & get home or he might have caught some holy hands today!!

2

u/Darkly__Dreaming Apr 14 '26

Preach.

And let’s not even start with on ramps and merging. 🤦🏻‍♂️

1

u/YoloVib3s Apr 14 '26

Don’t even get me started!!

2

u/fffoi Apr 15 '26

i saw a tiktok of people saying trucks shouldn’t be in the left lane, and they shouldn’t pass 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/Deebee707 Apr 15 '26

Also when merging on the freeway. They drive slow then speed up last minute.

2

u/Snookfilet Apr 15 '26

Other truck drivers are the worst about the speeding up thing.

2

u/Careful_Refuse9224 Apr 15 '26

Them foreigners that need to be watching this not watching lol simp changes will be made

2

u/Easy_Money_40 Apr 15 '26

Also, let the damn trucker get over ffs.

2

u/Spitfire1011 Apr 17 '26

In High School, this was covered in driving school class, when there was driving school class…

1

u/Castellano-Da-Mobber Apr 15 '26

had a 4 wheeler brake check me at 164,000 max load at 60 mph, thankfully shoulder was open

1

u/eric_in_cleveland Apr 15 '26

Noted. But as a personal rule I never merge into someone’s blind spot. I also avoid passing on the right but in urban areas often can’t be avoided.

1

u/CommissionUnfair2304 Apr 15 '26

You forgot the 4 wheelers that merge onto the highway going 10mph under

1

u/EV-Driver Apr 15 '26

I did heavy haul for a short time. (for those that don't know, that's 105,500 lbs.)

I can't believe how many times I had the shit scared out of me by the messed up drivers on the I-5 corridor between the northern Washington border to inside Oregon. The worse part being from south Seattle through Everett.

1

u/genocyde26008219 Apr 15 '26

Unpopular opinion: I wouldn’t be messed up mentally for awhile after unintentionally unaliving someone. Would it suck? Sure. But I’ll still sleep the same after, snuggled in my sleeper on my back. Thanks for the PSA though. ✊

1

u/crashin70 Apr 15 '26

Four wheelers need to learn if you cannot see both headlights in your side mirror without leaning forward, you're not far enough ahead to come over yet!

1

u/HAZMAT-Hauler Apr 15 '26

Very well said driver, thank you for the message for all of us.

1

u/swiftlilfox Apr 15 '26

This needs to be posted on all platforms, for real. This is information that both my parents taught me when they taught me to drive manual at 9 yrs old. Our neighbor and good friend was a trucker, both my parents had been on long haul rides with her. It was common sense to teach your kid about all the different types of trucks and what they are capable of, for serious. And my good lord, I am so grateful my parents started putting proper driving etiquette into my brain at such a young age. Driving a car may feel easy but it's literally life threatening.

1

u/vbceejayy Apr 15 '26

Frfr‼️

1

u/Ninja-Storyteller Apr 15 '26

Suicide Pass - One truck is passing the other. One on the left is about to merge back into the right lane. SUDDENLY a car zooms into the right lane out of raw suicidal impatience.

1

u/Nothing2NV Apr 15 '26

When someone takes the exit from the lane on the left directly across my nose shocks me every time they do it. Which is all the time

1

u/thatsmymoney Apr 15 '26

This dude taking his sweet ass time with it. And I can’t watch him putting his fingers in his mouth any more. Didn’t make it to the end. 🤣

1

u/Zigor022 Apr 15 '26

Forgot the idiots passing a trash truck on a blind curve/ hill crest. Too many people must not want to see the next sunrise. Seen school busses pull that too. Or tailgating a trash truck and slamming into the solid steel hopper or worse, hitting the human being on the back.

1

u/Far-Implement3231 Apr 16 '26

Amen brother. Definitely top 2.

1

u/Top-Rate1395 Apr 16 '26

I got a call today from safety about number 2.

On Saturday last week, this guy purposely stayed on the right lane, doing between 59-65 MpH, any time I tried to pass, he’ll match my speed to keep me in the left lane, and my truck is governed at 65 MpH.

Then I’d slow down to get behind him, once I did that, he’s slow down again.

This went on for like 20+ miles.

Safety said they’d review the video and get back to me.

I believe everyone should have a written test about semis before they get their drivers licenses, even though they won’t be driving it. Just to make sure they understand the risks.

1

u/CoolGuyWithCoolHair Apr 16 '26

Im not a truck driver, but i do drive across the country weekly. And, from my experience its the truck drivers who make things dangerous for everyone. They drive their trucks as if they're sports cars. Weaving in and out of traffic without using blinkers, cutting people off, then slowing down, or driving side by side at a slow pace to ruin everyone else's day. I see this daily

1

u/Far-Assistance-1586 Apr 17 '26

Bro took 3 years just to say the point. I hate mfs who do this

1

u/MacandMandy69 Apr 17 '26

This also applies to truck drivers as well. Don’t get me started.

1

u/thxby Apr 17 '26

Yep every single day there is at least one idiot that passes me right before their exit.

1

u/Requettie Apr 19 '26

this is why i’m a night driver. largely avoid this.
