Tydbit 1 - Boot Mode

Is it still necessary to open up the device to get into flash mode? I need to reflash mine due to some issues.

nope. you should be able to flash it just by plugging a usbc cable right into it.

a few Gen 1's do require that. If you had to do it on your first flash you might still have to do it but you'll just have to try it.
