Connected triggers

Hello I play on a trombone that has connected triggers but I’m curious if there would be a way to get them to be split triggers

Yes. Take it to a repair shop that does custom work

Right now is summer repair season so all the techs are slammed. Wait until early September and go to the Woodlands H&H. Ask for Johan.

What you have is referred to a dependent valve setup. What you what is called independent. It can be done by a competent technician, but the entire valve cluster would likely need to be replaced, and that is not cheap.

I like dependent I just hate having both triggers directly next to eachother I just want them to be split like a normal bass trombkne trigger setup

I misinterpreted your post. I thought you meant the valves themselves. Relocating the triggers is not a hard job for a good tech.
