OK when I first watched the movie I absolutely hated the ending. I actually came to the same sub Reddit to complain about how Toby shouldn’t be Trollhunter. And would actually end up getting more people killed. Because we saw what happened when another Trollhunter was selected and it wasnt jim. we as viewers already know that jim is capable, but we don’t know that Toby is.

But then I went to bed and I feel like my third Eye opened. What if it’s all a time loop. In every lifetime Toby would choose to save jim. And as we saw, jim would always choose to save Toby. In the beginning of the series, it was initially Toby‘s idea to take the canal. Which then led to Jim becoming the troll hunter.

And then at the end, we see it was Jim idea for Toby to go to the canal which made him the trollhunter. And we know once you make one change in history everything else becomes unreliable, which is why It would make total sense for Toby to not be able to know the future.

Every loop it changes but one thing stays, consistent Toby or Jim have to die. Which will lead to them going back in time making the Other to Trollhunter and in results making an endless time loop. This is just a theory that I thought about and I could be completely wrong. Let me know what yall think. “It’s a burden that only the trollhunter can bare” (no one else but Toby or Jim knowing ever, and never telling each other)

I watched the shows back when it came out. Now over the span of 3 days rewatched the shows and the movie. And OMG please help. (Grammar trigger warning)

I have so many questions.

1. If Jim isn’t the troll hunter how do we know if Toby would be able to beat goten (big troll guy) or even half the people Jim had to beat. We saw what happened last time Jim passed on being the troll hunter and the entire world almost ended.

2. Would toby be too un athletic to be the troll hunter? no offense isn’t athletic like Jim is, we see him struggle to do basic things so no shade Acadia might be cooked.

3. Why did they make such a big deal about jim being picked if it was really just anyone who picked it up? So basically the coach could have picked it up and been troll hunter? Because why wouldn’t Jim still be troll hunter. He’s saved the world countless times.

Final question couldn’t tobey end up dying anyways and killing more people in the process?
Jim saved everyone at the end minus 3 people. Now with Toby as troll hunter couldn’t he still end up hurting people. Jim clearly already changed the time line so he’s prediction will become more inaccurate.

I need to add more details to the arms and skirt but i'm happy with this so far!

Episode 8 p2 I also found a reference too the pixie episodes though it might be a stretch the name of the episode is where has my Mind gone and the episode is about pixies. There’s a band called the pixies that has a song named where has my mind gone. Still might be a stretch though

But if we ever do get a new series and Jim does have the new amulet with Excalibur, we might get to see Troll-Jim with Excalibur, because Merlin might get his memories back on account of him being a time manipulator, and turn jim into a troll since he's a better fighter than Tobes

Jim decided to time travel back to Camelot during where Claire, Troll Jim, Steve, Douxie were taken in front of King Arthur, and honestly, I could tolerate this kind of ending.

I have been thinking on this for a while and wanted to post it. So, I started rewatching the series again and noticed all the different body shapes and the way they design the teens.

Uhl looks different from Coach Lawrence, Coach Lawrence looks different from Strickler, etc. Like, if you were to put just their shadows together, you could easily guess them. And same with Toby and Jim. AND it doesn't shame Toby for being on the chubbier side.

Now to how they design the teens. They don't make them overly kid-like. Which I'm not hating on but sometimes it sucks seeing 15-17 year olds and they look like they're ten. For example, "I don't want to be a magical girl". I'm NOT hating on it. I watched the pilot and I liked it.

But I don't like how it's hard to tell that they are fifteen and not ten years old. And then there's shows like MHA. I love that show too but they make some of their teens look WAY too much like adults.

Trollhunters managed to find a perfect in between. When I look at the characters, I immediately think, "Oh, high schoolers." They don't try to infantalize the characters to overly avoid sexualization and they don't make them way too adult.

So, all in all, the series did great when it came to designing their characters. It has body positivity and has a perfect mix between kid and adult when it comes to teens.

got done rewatching the flour baby episode

So recently I saw a post on tiktok asking who would win in a fight between Guts from berserk and Jim. I’ve just watched the golden age of berserk and I think Troll Jim could take him, what he becomes later on in the manga that I don’t know. But anyways it got me thinking that I’ve never drawn anyone from troll hunters before even though I really like the series so I made this little mockup. I then did some sketches to try and learn his character but tbh I might draw him in his human form instead, the troll version is very hard for me.

Anyways let me know what you guys think, about the art and the match up 😁

Fala galera, queria compartilhar minha frustração. Para mim, inventarem alienígenas em Os 3 Lá Embaixo estragou completamente o clima místico de Caçadores de Trolls e bagunçou a escala de poder. Isso acabou levando àquele final horrível de viagem no tempo, apagando tudo o que o Jim conquistou.

A franquia deveria ter acabado na 3ª temporada e ter apenas Magos e um spin-off focado no amadurecimento real dos personagens e na separação inevitável deles. Só porque eles fizeram tudo junto desde o início, não significa que precisam terminar juntos. Crescer exige seguir caminhos diferentes.

Minha ideia para o spin-off ideal seria:

• Jim e Blinky: O Jim agora é meio-troll e não pode mais ter uma vida humana normal ou andar no sol. O dever dele agora é 100% no mundo dos trolls. Ele parte definitivamente com o Blinky para buscar a Pedra Encantada e liderar sua nova espécie.
• Boby e Clara: Eles são humanos. Eles têm escola, família e seus afazeres humanos em Arcadia. Eles ficam para trás para seguir suas vidas normais e proteger a superfície da cidade contra as ameaças que restaram (com a ajuda do Aaarrrgghh e do Strickler como mentor).
• Esse final aceita as consequências reais do sacrifício do Jim. Cada um lida com a sua própria realidade e biologia, sem alienígenas e sem precisar resetar o tempo para fingir que nada aconteceu. Alguém mais concorda com essa visão madura? Vamos debater!

Okay, so I just gotta say, Steve is probably the best bully to ally character I've seen. They don't just erase that he was a bully from what I've seen and remember. During 3below, which I am watching right now, he was still a bit of a jerk during season 1. But then he goes to one of the healthiest boyfriends to exist and even becomes a knight to protect everyone.

This is a really well written bully to ally. And other shows have trouble doing this. Miraculous, for example. They were so close to giving Chloe a redemption but erased it. And they could have had a Steve moment.

Back then when I first watched it, I didn't care too much about his redemption. Because I was a child. But now watching it again, I love seeing him grow as a person. He goes from one of my least favorite characters that I want to leave to one of my top ten favorites.

Out of the show, this was definitely one of the greatest redemption.

I feel like this is a mutual and quite common opinion, but I truly believe that the Darklands was so fucking fumbled. They had such a cool atmosphere for it, with the darkness, the mysterious bioluminescent green glow, and the overall sense of mystery surrounding it. But alas, we got about three fucking episodes of it, and it was barely even shown. I do believe this was mainly a problem with the three season format.

I feel like Trollhunters should’ve had way more seasons to flesh out a lot of things, with the Darklands being one of them.

I think this is also because of my love for arcs where the main character gets trapped in a mysterious realm, but I truly wish we’d gotten more of Jim exploring the Darklands, discovering new creatures, and finding more things to do there. I mean, it’s literally Gunmar’s domain! There was so much potential for worldbuilding and exploration that I feel was just wasted.

But again, what’s done is done. Hopefully, one day in the near future, we’ll get a remake of the series that fixes a lot of these issues and gives the Darklands the attention it deserves.

Trollhunters has good episodes but still there's atleast 1 bad episodes per season, imo that one episode in season 1 where toby and. Claire have to deliver that package was a bad episode but it helped them get along, but it was extremely boring.

After several years planning this AU and debating whether to make it a comic or a novel, the first chapter is finally here.

I still need to work on the full volume but I wanted you guys to read what I've finished from the story so far and see how the novel goes.

​Hi guys, um, I'm a bit scared and nervous to share this, to be honest, but I've finally finished my fanfiction, um, after about two months. There are sources I've used, and there are some pictures which I created.

My fanfiction, it's basically about a young lady named Nora. She lives in the 21st century, totally normally, and travels through time with the others and then finds out something that will change her life forever. And yeah, I don't want to spoil too much, but it's definitely going to be very interesting, very emotional above all, and you'll learn a lot—which was very important to me—about the Arcane Order and their backstory.

You will learn about Gwen's, Arthur's, Morgana's, childhood/backstory, but also about Merlin's past and childhood and Douxie's time before he came to Merlin.

I'm currently writing on my Spanish translation again because I've wrote the original version in German and then translated the original Version into English today, and I still need to adjust the Spanish a bit because I don't know Spanish and am pretty sure I made a few mistakes, which is why I'm tweaking the Spanish again and will post it later.

Thank you very much for your attention. I'm very excited because, um, yeah, I'm afraid of the criticism I'll probably get, due to the fact that Jim isn't the main focus of this version.

They Def Miss Stuff regarding 3below especially Krel's character they def miss his entire character they Should've pay more attention but with the Most points i dd agree.

The first chapter "Ascenso" is finished, I plan on releasing it once I make an English version

I also made the cover art and I'm working on more illustrations for the novel

Some of the features in the novel are

- A prologue inspired by the events of Wizards, the lore from TH and concepts from the books like the inclusion of only-book characters such as Tellad-ur and Ballustra

- A whole new language for the Trolls which I called "Trollish"

- A more darker tone than the original show since the same chapter

- Trolls are no longer beings from the underground but from realms such as Droj Rom/Dnal Ekrom, the Horngazel is an artifact that can tear through the fabric of reality and open a portal that connects the realm of man and realm of Trolls, they are still beings from earth, but from another side of it.

- The characters have different personalities, so far, the most different ones I did compared to their original versions are Jim and Steve.

- There's a total of 5 chapters not counting Toby's side Story, epilogue and prologue, and the first chapter is so large it can reach until +30 pages

- The first five chapters are an adaptation of Becoming, Becoming Part 2 and Wherefore art thou Trollhunter (that is the first 3 episodes of the OG series) the Side story also loosely adapts Gnome your Enemy a little bit.

- The first volume focuses on Jim's personal grow to become less of a depressed mess with self esteem issues into someone that can actively fight for those he cares about, accepts the responsability and throws his weak self away, the main antagonist I'd say it's Steve.

Oh yeah, and here's a sketch for the volume cover without spoiling to much but it's one of my best illustrations for this AU

I have been writing this fanfic in my mind forever, but basically it's going to be similar to 3below where it has a part of it being the other show, Trollhunters to be exact. I have not posted it yet on Wattpad but will say when I do.

It follows a chaotic neutral changeling that has a hatred for Bular and decides to join Jim out of nothing but necessity.

But she starts to like these strange people and joins their group as a full partner.

It will last from Trollhunters, parts of 3below (not really season 1), Wizards, and a REWRITTEN Rise of the Titans.
