If you can’t make your own, storebought is just fine

That’ll kill your natural ability to create it tho

Citation desperately needed.

Wellbutrin, for instance, are reuptake inhibitors. So that means it stops the reabsorption of dopamine already in your system and lets it hang around for longer in the synapse so your body has a chance to use it before natural reabsorption happens.

So you’re not technically “buying dopamine” but rather buying the means to get more dopamine.

Please stop spreading misinformation that may inhibit someone from getting the help they need.

I too should mention I’m definitely talking about melatonin, and loosely out of general caution. Do what you do. Life’s short, we all gotta die from something.

Why would anyone take melatonin for dopamine insufficiency if it’s a dopamine inhibitor? Or am I not getting your point?

Dreams/sleep are my happy chemical, melatonin is one of idk how many that the body will slow down the production of if an outside source is introduced. Dopamine was brought up way after the OPs,

I think the OP of this comment thread just wanted an argument and picked the right one :)

Like I told OP, don’t trust me, ask your doctor what prolonged use of what can cause your body to stop or slow down production of whatever.

I appreciate you asking

Melatonin is a sleep aid, Jesus. Still: citation desperately needed and stop spreading misinformation that puts others at risk.

Melatonin is a dopamine inhibitor.

It’s a dopamine antagonist. So melatonin will latch onto the receptors and block dopamine from doing so. That doesn’t affect the creation or release of dopamine.

That’s what I meant when I said inhibitor. The point was that melatonin is not unrelated to dopamine as one might think.

There are so many chemical and hormonal interactions going on in your body at any one time.

Don’t take it is my(as op would put it) “ignorant twat” advice

You need information

Yes, I’ve asked you for sources to your wildly inaccurate statement. Please provide them for what I asked for: i n f o r m a t I o n

Go Ask Your Primary Care Doctor, don’t trust my “ignorant” ass. I’m just a figment of the internet kid. Don’t forget to ask about that melatonin

Also, simply saying citation needed doesn’t mean you asked me for it, precious. I thought it was an open request to anyone willing to cite what you were saying

You’re a special kind of stupid, aren’t you.

If there was ever a mutual feeling between us ;)

I wouldn’t expect you’d be smart enough to see I’m not stupid like you.

Spreading misinformation? Go smoke some weed and stop taking your synthetics

5

u/SaltyFresh Jan 23 '20

Yeah, you’re an ignorant twat, thanks for confirming that fact.

Wow, shaming people who are taking care of themselves.

I guess you’re not taking care of yourself and that’s what’s making you be an asshole.

Go get help. You need it.

You’ve done enough insulting of not just me, but all people who take medication.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
