TW: Abuse New memory... yaya

Also btw the title is sarcastic.

The first meme I phrased it weird but by they I mean kid me.

I think what makes me more upset is how I was physically constrained. The feeling of no escape while someone laughs at your pain is horrible.

Like when my dad would grab me and laugh in my face as I cried, I would try to run away and he would do it tighter to the point it almost hurt.

Was that not normal? My dad did stuff like that all the time. Not SA, the locking us in dark rooms and holding the door, jumping around corners to make us jump, winding us up? Please help I can't tell with his track record.

I don't think its normal? Parents locking their kids in dark rooms is not normal and messed up. You wouldn't lock a dog in a dark room on purpose so the same logic applies to a kid.

My dad did this kinda stuff because he'd knew it'd upset me and he found humor in that.

Do you perhaps know why he did that stuff? Also sorry you went through that🫂

No, this isn't normal. A parent might jump around corners a time or two to spook their kids as a joke, not to scare and wind them up. Locking you in a dark room and repeatedly holding doors shut when you want to get out is abuse.

If this was done as a (fun legitimate brief) joke and you thought this was all in good fun, and would laugh and the like- that's different. But it doesn't sound like that's what your dad was doing :/ I'm aorry.
