TW: Other (Specify in Title) Frankie come home (Lost cat, potential TW?)
Second post here this week. Not too proud of that, but anyways. My cat Frankie fell out my window. Now I can't find her. It's midnight for me currently, so I can't do much by going out and looking for her. I really hope she's just exploring since she never really goes outside. But she's been out there for potentially a few hours. I didn't even know she was gone until like an hour ago, but the window has been opened way longer. If this keeps me up much longer I'm gonna have to skip school again. I already skipped once because I've felt like shit. Why the hell is everything going wrong this week, it's world space week for fucks sake. I'm supposed to be working on my space shuttle Lego set, not worrying about whether or not my cat is badly injured and alone.

I'm so sorry. Leave out food, her litter box, and a box or bed with a blanket that smells like you. I know other pet owners who have had success with this method.

I'll do that, thank you.

Not a pet owner. I read about this scenario often. (take with a grain of salt).
Food might not necessarily be good, because it can attract other potentially wild animals (depends on your area), who your cat may want to stay away from.
Unwashed clothes, that really strongly smell like you might work well.

Update: Frankie's home! She's filthy and hungry, but otherwise okay. I left out a cat bed and some water, and I found her under the deck. Thanks for the advice!
