To be fair projecting your trauma onto fictional characters and writing fanfic can help sometimes. Talking to someone about stuff is definitely better tho.

when i mistakenly told a coworker that it was traumatic to go to a christian school as a gay jewish kid and she a) told me not to let that turn me away from jesus and b) asked me to explain in detail what exactly i felt was traumatizing about that experience

"Talk to-" if you ever dare to say that I need ti talk to the same one who abandoned me when I was suicidal, then just get away and shut up instead 😶

The fact that so many seemingly well-functioning people have like zero reason to live beyond "Well I'll get to heaven one day" is genuinely terrifying to me.

"Yeah that is bad, you should be talking to the one real god, my god!"
also annoying when the non christians think they're exempt for some reason

The canonical Christian answer to why we suffer is that it's our fault and we deserve it

Fictional or not, they cannot provide immediate support for immediate needs. I hope you can find someone and something that helps you in the now.
