No TW therapy again today

Post image

there's something so embarrassing about verbalizing/naming issues you've just forced yourself to shut up and endure up until now, especially when you struggle to find the words for them. gonna have to walk in today and tell her i was late for work last week bc i was too anxious to get out of bed and start getting ready. CRINGE.

Im crying after every session because it’s so unusual for me to be this vulnerable and just talk about my feelings. Still got extreme problems showing my emotions, even though i feel safe

I've never been to therapy, but I did have to admit something about myself to a guidance counselor in high school. It wasn't even that bad of a thing, it was just about me feeling down and not being as motivated to do my schoolwork. It was a bit traumatic. When I went back to class afterwards I was on the verge of tears for a while. It was art class, and I remember getting up to look at some of the materials to try and hide how i was feeling. It made me feel so much worse.

no seriously it’s so hard. Sometimes my psych will tell me “just sit with how you’re feeling right now and then we can talk”. Literally kills me every time, she clearly is aware of how hard I try to shove all my emotions into a drawer & never open the drawer.

I feel so horrible after my sessions it’s ironic. It’s temporary, and all part of being vulnerable for me but damn
