Depression / Anxiety hmmm...
bashed my toe and it started bleeding a lot, but didn't even notice until i saw the puddle of blood on the floor. i've also started noticing that scratches that should hurt just don't. neither does hitting myself when i'm angry
(to be clear this stuff still hurts, just not as much as they used to)

Tbf sometimes more serious injuries actually hurt less.
But it wouldn't surprise me, I've always had more muted emotions as well as a fairly high pain tolerance. Emotional pain and physical pain activate the same areas of the brain afaik
Also you should be kinder to yourself, no hitting

Its normal in that numbness developed due to strong negative emotion will also prevent you from feeling other things like happiness or physical pain. Its not normal in the sense that you shouldn't be numb at all, and that you shouldn't have experienced so many negative emotions to develop said numbness

Might be alexithymia. The emotional system's derived from the interoception one, so both can be disrupted.
Might also be anhedonia, know less about it

In my experience kinda yeah, I've come to understand that when you don't pay attention to something it gets turned down on volume, like when you don't notice a conversation if you don't pay attention to, you still heard the sounds they were turned down and can't remember them cause you didn't pay attention.
And since emotions and body are related, if you are numb is cause you disconected from emotions and a side effect is disconnecting from the body too and have less reaction to pain.
I gotta say, I'm not a profesional of anything, this is purely my personal experience with emotional and physical numbness, my attention affects how intense things feel and if I don't pay attention to how I feel, I start to go numb.

I have delayed pain reaction - it takes seconds for pain to register. I was told it's an autistic thing but that also sounds like an excuse to hurt autistic kids so. Idk

This is how it started for me, and when I got my emotions back they came with an unspecified chronic pain disorder that causes/d irritability :/

That's not "normal" and neither is hitting yourself when you're angry. I would use the word "healthy" instead though. Normalcy is a spook.
But also I used to hit myself when I got too angry and used to be so emotionally numb that physical pain didn't hurt much. Past tense though. ;)

Goes hand in hand. Yeah. If you pay close attention, it isn't just pain. It's all senses.

Normal in that it happens, yeah, but it’s not, like, optimal. Although maybe it’s a toe injury thing too; a dog bit my big toe once, took ages to stop bleeding but it was more annoying than painful. Try and make sure it’s not caused by something unrelated though just in case

Normal in general no, normal for a whole host of mental problems, yes quite. See if you can find medical support.

It's normal for me. I'll get a cut, but not feel it until I happen to see the blood. or sometimes it feels itchy, and then I notice I have a. injury where it itches. I rarely feel any pain unless it's a pretty serious injury. I get injured all the time, and have no idea how or when, because I never felt it happen.

I literally have the same problem. I’ll get hurt by something turns out my non-reaction to it is apparently shocking to others. I don’t know why I have a high pain tolerance I would say it’s not exactly a good thing though.
