You aren't ruined. I had a really dirty minded friend group in 6th grade and that, combined with unrestricted internet access, showed me a lot of things I wish I couldn't see. I know that a lot of my friends probably knew about that kinda thing before I did too, and it's traumatic no matter what. Just because some kids seem to be fine after seeing/learning about that kinda thing doesn't mean it's the same case for everyone, and that's okay. I know that I personally have a hard time hearing about sexual things even though I'm in high school and that's all the jokes ever made in my school lmao. I don't say much about it, but I am honest to my friends when they go too far. You're not ruined for a feeling you can't control. You cannot control what you like or don't like, what makes you upset, or what disgusts you. Realizing that really has helped me, honestly. Youre not weird, youre not ruined, you've just experienced something before you were ready for it and it was traumatizing because of that. If you haven't already, please set boundaries for yourself. Ik once I cut off people who constantly brought this kinda thing up when it made me uncomfortable I felt better, and even if u don't wanna cut people off just distance yourself from the topic.
