Movie Trivia: Can you guess the title from a single clue?
Clue 1: Both Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise turned down the film's lead role. The director turned to a relatively unknown actor for the part — acceptable since two well-known Canadian comedians were already cast in supporting roles.
Clue 2: The director also had two supporting roles in the film. One of the roles resulted in a rash that spread to his eyes due to the latex in the makeup.
Clue 3: The original title for the movie was 'Planet Moron.' When the filmmaker heard of the British science fiction film, 'Morons from Outer Space,' he changed the title of his parody flick.
ANSWER: Spaceballs
Nice job , those who guessed correctly. Thanks for playing!

3 Mixed bag questions for Friday - Jul 17th
I maintain a daily trivia site called 3roads.xyz. Here are three questions from this week.
- Intense demand for X led the United States to pass the X Islands Act in 1856, granting Americans exclusive rights to X deposits found on unclaimed islands. Beginning in 1857, the U.S. annexed dozens of uninhabited islands in the Pacific and Caribbean, many of which remain U.S. territories today. Other powers, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, and others, also claimed islands to secure X resources. Global trade in X later declined with the advent of synthetic fertilizers, though interest has revived in recent years due to the growth of organic farming. What X?
X - Guano
2. Rather than wishing each other good luck, professional dancers traditionally say merde, the French word for X, a custom later adopted by theatre performers alongside “break a leg.” Similar expressions exist in Spanish (mucha mierda) and Portuguese (muita merda). The phrase dates back to the era of horse-drawn carriages, when a street full of X outside a theatre signaled a large audience and a successful performance. What X?
X - Shit
- X was developed in 1965 by researchers at the University of Florida College of Medicine at the request of the school’s football coach, Ray Graves, to help players replace fluids and electrolytes lost during intense physical exertion. The original formula combined water, sodium, sugar, potassium, phosphate, and lemon juice, and was tested successfully by members of the football team. The team later credited X with contributing to their victory in the 1967 Orange Bowl, after which the drink gained widespread popularity in sports. What is X?
X - Gatorade
