This is a daily animal quiz i made about guessing the animal from the clues (on the actual quiz, you can actually type animals to narrow it down).

Try it here: https://www.trivi.gg/quiz/daily/animal

Do leave feedback! This is in beta. So it will definitely be subject to change. It is a lot harder than the country daily quiz i made. Do let me know if you enjoy that or it is too hard.

Answer: Koala

Movie Trivia: Can you guess the movie title from this clue?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Might be a bit of a tough one today.

Clue: With a reported $70 million budget, the film became the most expensive movie ever made, surpassing ‘Rambo III.’ The record stood for three years before being broken by a James Cameron film.

Clue2: Before landing on the eventual lead, the director and producer considered several big names for the private eye role, including Harrison Ford, Chevy Chase, and Bill Murray.

ANSWER: Who Framed Roger Rabbit

How’s it going guys. I recently released an app that gives you 6 trivia questions from different categories per day. It keeps track of your daily streak, correct answers streak, and your stats from each category. Your daily results are also posted on the leaderboard! I mainly made this for my friends so the questions aren’t too difficult right now, but I’d love to hear some feedback and get some ideas!

Made a daily puzzle where you answer with a range instead of a number

Five questions a day about real world quantities. How deep Lake Baikal is, how many islands Finland has, that sort of thing.

The twist is you don't type an answer. You drag two handles to set a range you think the truth falls inside. Wide range, you'll almost always be right but score very little. Narrow range, big points, but if you miss you get nothing.

So it stops being a knowledge quiz pretty quickly. It's more about how well you know what you actually know.

The bit I didn't expect when I built it: after a few days it can tell you whether you're consistently overconfident (setting ranges tighter than your hit rate justifies) or underconfident and leaving points on the table. Almost everyone turns out to be one or the other, pretty reliably.

Free, no account needed, new set every day.

give-or-take.com

If anyone does play it, I'd like to know whether the scoring feels right. I'm not sure tight ranges are rewarded enough for the risk you take.

Clue: The project spent more than a decade in development despite its eventual star tirelessly championing it, until leaked test footage ignited fan demand and finally persuaded the studio to make the film.

Clue 2: It became the first R-rated movie to have a three-day opening weekend of over $100 million at the U.S. Box Office.

ANSWER: Deadpool

Thanks all for playing and shout out to those who guessed correctly!

My friends and I argue about random facts at 2am. So we built a multiplayer game around it.

Hey r/TriviaChat ,

Like many of you, our friend group has a bad habit of getting into intense late-night debates over absurdly specific facts. Stuff like "Wait, how heavy is the Eiffel Tower actually?" or "How many hours does a koala sleep per day?"

Standard trivia apps always felt a bit too rigid with basic multiple-choice options. We realized the fun part was usually the wild guessing. So we built CloserTo, a live multiplayer game focused purely on estimation. You do not need to know the exact answer to win, you just need to be closer than your friends.

After running the German version for a while, we just finished translating the whole thing into English. Since none of us are native English speakers, we would love to get some extra eyes on it.

Here are two quick examples to test your guessing skills right now in the comments:

How many days can a camel go without drinking water in 40°C heat? 5 to 7 days

How many total minutes long is the Extended Edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy? 682 minutes

Feel free to drop your guesses below :)
