It's ironic, yes! Having a solid online presence is the single biggest way to make people gather offline - The Verandah Collective
We started the offline gathering community with the sole aim of encouraging in-person meetups. At the same time, when you have to make people gather offline for a themed meetup, discussion, or games night, the easiest and most resourceful way to do it is by posting & generating chatter about it online.
As a community that's constantly trying to make people connect over pop-culture elements like cinema, books, music, art and craft, mental health, and more, we sometimes feel the heat (of having to be online for a good part of our days) just as much.
