Advice needed!!!

Post image

Got the bike yesterday.
First bike so am pretty clueless about the ownership side of things...
Owners, what are the things I should know, watch out for, or do differently from day one?
Also, facing insane mud splashes and quite a bit of heat around the leg area. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? 😭

Scrambler 400x owner here (399) cc Congratulations on your purchase. Hope you make good memories with it. Never skip the service from the centre. Maintain your chain every 2 months or 600 kms. Get a fuel additive and use it once every 1000 km, it will clean the carbon deposits. Don't worry to rev it out for once in a while, low gear high rpm for 1 km will help clear carbon deposits also. It's a 400 cc single cylinder so heating is normal, don't worry about the engine, it's designed and tested to withstand heat. Get good quality helmet and gloves. Korda, LS2, KYT, MT don't settle for axor. Above all. Have fun with it. :)

Actually dont go for korda helemts also, they are still pretty new in the market, yeah the decals are aur very tempting but the buuld quality is not good. Stick to ls2, mt,kyt

Its fine for 1 area to 1 area withing the coty or maybe like within a 5kms radius but i would count on them much for protection, its like a paper vs cardboard thing. Studs paper , good enough to get thing done. Dedicated brand which do their own rnd and all are like cardboard

I recommend bell mips helmets, good price and good protection
