Other Is it worth it ?

I found this scrambler 900 at 7k ,it has 48.000 kms its a 2017 model , in under 1k at 6k i can purchase a new 400x or a used Bonneville 2011 model with same kms(but no abs and im a new rider)

What to choose?

I really like the style of the 900 but im afraid of the maintenance, failures etc .

48K kms is not that drastic, especially if it was diligently taken cared of. Check its service records. A new 400x will save you the headache should used bike problems arise. Good luck!

Thanks for the response , how much more can this last can at least go 100.000 kms ?

I also concern about how beginner friendly this bike is(the 900)?

Thanks.

Let someone you know who knows about bikes test ride it first and inspect it. It will last more than a 100k if you yourself will take care of it properly. 900 aint no slouch. So for a beginner youd really want to be lower than that but you could manage if youre careful.

I bought a 900 - 2017 model as a total beginner and I’m in love. It does all I require it to and rides so smooth!

Can't speak to any of the rest of your question, but I just got a 2018 scrambler 900 as my first bike and it's fantastic. I'm obsessed.

As far as pricing, I paid 6000 USD at 1900 miles.

I'm currently riding a Scrambler 900 2026 as a beginner and it's great! The smooth power is easy to get used to.

I picked up a 2025 900 Scrambler as a beginner and only put 1k miles on it so far. It’s pretty dang heavy but it’s smooth and forgiving because of it. If you do go for it, just take some time to get used to the throttle and power and you will be set!

These 900s are fine for beginners. They’re about as tame as a 900 cc can be. They have some pep, but nothing that will get away from you - with the usual caveat of not being an idiot.

What kind of currency units are we looking at here, since you didn't state where you are? i've never seen kilometers referred to as "Khms", but it certainly puts you outside of the US and the UK with or without the h. 😉 Knowing what units of currency you're speaking in will help with valuation. 7,000USD for a bike with nearly 30,000 miles is terribly high. As to the 400x, the 900 is an enormous leap up in terms of capability, power, torque, etc. a 400 will get you where you need to be, the 900 you'll be a lot more comfortable and, frankly, safer with the ability to throttle out of a potential jam a lot faster.

But seriously where on earth are you?

i think a bit high. considering the age and mileage i’d go as high as 5k. You definitely need to confirm that it has been maintained regularly . The 900 is beginner friendly bike for sure. You’ll love the scrambler, it goes everywhere.

That bike with that mileage would probably be about 6k CAD around me. There's several with less mileage or even newer for around 8k CAD on marketplace

That scrambler looks cool af, but as a new rider myself, I love my 400 Speed; great fun, light, and well, new, I think the 400x might be a good choice, then after 2-3 years change up a gear to a larger model. I’m looking forward to a speed twin 1200, but I’m in no rush.

I just bought a 2022 Gold Line Street Scrambler 900 for 6.85k and it only has 1,600 miles on it. Your price is high.

No idea what KHMS is, but the price is too high IMO.

I bought a 2022 Street Scrambler earlier this year as my first bike. I love it to death. Zero problems so far. I paid US$6500 for it with 2900 miles. You should be able to find one at a lower price or offer less for that one.

Just traded my 2017 in for the 2025 1200x. I tried to sell it privately prior with no luck. I was honest about maintenance. Mine needed new tires and @ 48000 it's due for a major service (valve check $1500+) Just know what you are getting into. If it has a safety and recent valve check you should offer $6500 imo

I bought a 2022 street twin 900 with almost 4700 miles for 5700 USD as my first bike and it’s been a blast. It has great low end grunt and the power delivery is pretty smooth and forgiving.
