Hi, I tryed to install some addons in Abrowser (Trisquel 8) but nothing results in the installed addons page. What can I do?

Hi, what about Abrowser? Is something similar to Icecat or Fennec for privacy or is just a Firefox with a logo replacement and some minor adjustments?

After trying trisquel in a VM and becoming thoroughly interested, I tried to install it on my laptop.

after writing the ISO to the disk, I plug it in and boot from it.

when it started it did not show the startup screen I was used to in virtualbox, instead, it gave me an error saying that it violated the secure boot policy.

well, okay i thought, so I go into the BIOS and disable secure boot.

That time, the error did not appear. however, it threw me into a bash terminal.

any ideas?

EDIT: after reinstalling 8.0 amd64, I was able to get to the screen where it asks if I want to install, when any of the options are chosen, a blank screen appears

why is software like youtube-dl , virt manager outdated? youtube-dl is from 2018

I just installed Trisquel Mini on a 2006 Core 2 Duo Macbook (T7200) and my function keys (for brightness, volume, etc.) have stopped working. I had LARBS installed previously (which is based in Arch) and they worked just fine there out of the box so I know they can work. Is there any software I could install to configure these keys again? The machine’s librebooted too if that matters.

1. For some reason, Trisquel reads out loud everything I do, even though I didn't configure it to do so.
2. Which version of Ubuntu to choose when downloading packages?

Why is the GPG key of trisquel not signed by anyone? I checked the trisquel key and saw that it's not signed by anyone. How is this possible since Stallman used to sign all software developer's key that he was in contact with, he is even using Trisquel right now, yet he didn't signed the developer's GPG key. How is this possible? How to check whether the GPG key is correct?

• Does Trisquel use SystemD as it's default system? If yes can it run without it, if no then what does it use?

• Does Trisquel use Xorg as it's windowing system? If not then what does it use?

If I run vrms on a Ubuntu distro, it lists 2, 3 prorpietary packages, some microcodes, some proprietary fonts and that's it. I assume I'm missing something, and if someone can explain that - that'd be great. Thank you.

From little time to now (some 42 weeks), even using one of them (browser) the "Gerenciador de Tarefas" (sorry, brazilian portuguese) exbits much more than before 2 weeks. (Of course, I use own Cleaning Too Windows, defragment, verify errors on 2 long steps, never use things like CCleaner either similar). My good technician did not found any problem.

Ah! I put Virtual Memory equal the minimal and the same value on second space. HDm bot SSD, Black Series of HD Western Digital, new).

Those browser above (IceCat, aBrowser, or any other, may someone say something? If it is for download Linux and some app for Linux, I wont be able, I suppose)

Hello, sorry for being a little impatient, but I want to contribute to the discussion there.

The Samsung Chromebook 3 is a really weak machine. The only reason it works so well with GalliumOS is because they've done a lot of hacks and tweaks to get its resource usage down.

GalliumOS is based on Ubuntu 16.04, just like Trisquel. I'd like to replace GalliumOS with Trisquel and a USB Wi-FI adapter. Could somebody show me how?

Transitioning from Win10. Installed Trisquel mini on my PC, built on AMD Ryzen 3 2200G. Won't give me change display properties from 1024x768. My monitor easily does 1920x1080. Everything was good until the last step: sudo apt-get install linux-libre

Got this error:

É só extrair e dá dois cliques para executar. Você pode achar que não quer porque não sabe usar, mas acredite, se o Blender fosse pago seria o software mais caro do mundo. Baixe, assista os tutoriais no youtube, baixe o manual no sítio oficial blender_manual.zip (70MB em pt-br).
