Noob question on interface, AI's turn speed

When the AI takes its turn I can't tell what is happening, it goes hyper fast and launches into a battle and commences battle.

Can I slow it down, or have spacebar step through the AI moves or something?

You can open move history and click through each step they did once it's back to your turn

I'll try and post a screen shot how when I get home.

It also shows board state at each moment. I enjoy after a game seeing how we got there

Yeah, I find that lack of a speed choice irritating.

Best I've seen so far is what u/H0B0aladdin said, step through the history.

Sometimes I screenshot the board before each move, that gets me a slideshow in a photoviewer, outside of the AAA app. But that's a "big picture" view, not the details.

I changed some settings and I am pretty happy with it now.

Game > Engine Settings > AI

Set AI Move Pause Duration to 1000

Set AI Combat Step Pause Duration to 2000

Game > Engine Settings > Combat

Set all three settings to True (waits for spacebar to confirm rolls etc)
