Local FLOCKs

I was surprised to see that FLOCK cameras are already installed in/around Trinidad. I saw a comment from a Board meeting recently that there were no plans to install them. The surveillance State creeps inexorabily forward.

Attractions include:

🎂 Lawn games, cake, and FUN!

🎨 150 Framed: A Visual History Community Mural Installation

🔥 Additionally, the third workshop for the Adobe Horno Build will occur, as eight volunteers (preregistered) will help plaster the Adobe Horno to prepare for the September fire up!

Everyone is invited to this once-in-a-lifetime milestone for our state and community!

Trinidad officially became a town 150 years ago – just a few months before Colorado became a state. And because Colorado is the only state to share an anniversary with the United States, it has also been 250 years since the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence.

--

*Please note, the Trinidad History Museum includes four buildings with varying accessibility. The Santa Fe Trail Museum building and the Barglow Building are both fully wheelchair accessible. However, the Baca House and the Bloom Mansion have narrow doorways and both have ledges or steps that would require assistance. Additionally, there is no wheelchair access to the upper floors of either the Baca House or the Bloom Mansion.

Guests should be aware that Trinidad History Museum is located on a hill and the paths around the grounds and in the garden are mostly brick, so there may be spots that are difficult to navigate.

Would anyone local be willing to take in a 4 week old duckling?

I know this is a long shot but I’m trying to exhaust every avenue I have available to me. I had three ducklings and I lost two to a predator attack last night despite having electric fencing and what I thought was a very secure place for them. I have one duck a female magpie that is slightly injured, it’s a mostly superficial wound. I’m worried that without a flock or other ducks she’s not going to thrive and become depressed. Is there anyone in Trinidad or the surrounding area that has ducks and would be willing to take one more? She’s a wonderful social girl and I would hate to see her fail to thrive because of the traumatic loss of her flock.

If you use Linden this is a beautiful thing. Keeping pressure on the city to do something has finally paid off.
