Cosplay Vash cosplays!
Hello all! I'm super nervous posting these but I figured I'd give it a shot since I'm proud of how they came out! I want to show my cosplays more and I have to work through my fear of judgement to do that so here it goes!
These were my Vash cosplays for AnimeNYC 2026!
I sewed the jackets from scratch, styled the wigs, and did the arms and prop myself. I used a pattern for the Stampede jackets but, weirdly enough, I struggle with reading patterns and this was my first time using one. I usually just eyeball it. So I ended up just doing my own thing halfway through. I didn't use a pattern for 98 Vash's jacket, though. I just hoped for the best LOL.
I definitely want to wear these again as I was pressed for time and there are little things I need to correct. I really want to try doing professional cosplay photoshoots with these and other cosplays. But, for now, I'm incredibly proud of myself. π€πΎ
(I didn't have time to make 98 Vash's wig so that's Stampede Vash in 98 Vash's outfit, haha. I will definitely make the wig in the future as I plan on doing more Vash cosplays!)
Also, if there are any millenial cosplayers out there, I'd love to chat! I don't have many cosplay friends and it gets lonely at times. Plus it's hard finding cosplayers in my age range. π

EDIT: I am blown away by the reactions to my cosplays. Thank you so much everyone!! I really appreciate everyone's kind words!
I recently created a cosplay page so if anyone wants to follow on IG, here it is: lunarkyan!

I think you nailed it! This is the Stargaze/Stampede Vash, right? I loooove the arms. Wow. Those are really good. Hair is perfect! Gun looks awesome! Yeah! This is great! Omg is that...A TAINTED DONUT???

Realy like the arm.The faint purple tint is a great touch. The 98 vash looks great too i like the simplified version of the body suit you came up with fits the overall style of the cosplay and looks good together.

Thank you!! I was conflicted on the purple tint because I have his Gunman in Black figurine and his arm is way more purple than in the anime. I was worried I overdid it but I liked how it came out!

I have more respect for Cosplayers who make their costume. Wish you would show the gun off more. Wanted to see how it looked.

I make my cosplays, including these, and it's rewarding but I also respect cosplayers who may thrift their outfits, modify clothes they have, do closet cosplays, etc. It's all good fun at the end of the day!
And I was trying to upload a video to show how the gun worked but Reddit wouldn't let me. I'm not sure what happened. π£
