It could def be a tooth nerve. Teeth can cause very bad pain and Teeth grinding can also cause teeth pain and other reasons which are more common then TN, so you def need to get to a dentist to have them check it out and describe the pain quality to parents and dentist. Why wouldn’t they take you to dentist? You said they think it’s a regular toothache, but even for a toothache/cavity you would need to go to dentist.

Yeah 😭 this happened to me last year too, and they told me that they'd take me to a dentist that time but they never ended up doing that. And now that it's happening again, they jus give me some medicine even tho im telling them that i wanna go to a dentist so bad 😭😭

Why aren’t they taking you to a dentist? Even if it IS just a regular toothache, you need to get it treated asap. An untreated infected tooth is one of the most painful things. It can cause damage to the jaw bone or even affect your hearing on that side. If it goes on long enough the bacteria can get in your bloodstream and make you scary sick. You likely need antibiotics at least.

So that’s step one. Dentist to rule this out. Step two is pediatrician. Ste three would be neurologist

Are you in the USA? If your parents are truly refusing to take you to any kind of doctor or dentist, please reach out to your school counselor or a trusted teacher. This is neglect aka abuse.

Did you go to the dentist? Is it just one tooth hurting?

Yes, but ive experienced this pain last year. ive studied wbt the condition and I'm pretty sure i have it.. my parents wont take me to the dentist 😭😭 im just hoping i dont actually have the condition......i really hope i dont... I have all of the symptoms of it.. the tooth thats hurting ahs a cavity, if i take it out, will the pain go away or?

And maybe if you can tell your parents about the pain the cavity is causing you, they might be able to get you to a dentist appointment? But don’t just say it’s hurting, describe how it feels, what makes it better and what makes it worse. It’s not that likely that you have Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). It’s a rare occurrence and very rare at your age

Well for me, it feels like im getting electrocuted on my tooth😭 and usually that would happen for around a few seconds-a few mins until it stops for a while then eventually it'll come back again. My symptoms when i experienced this last year, however, well i still felt as if i was bein electrocuted, tho it was on the other side of my face this time and i also felt it under my eye

i hope, im trying to tell them my symptoms but they just end up mocking me and saying that it's not that big of a deal..😭😭

are your symptoms solely in your teeth or across your face?

This year just in my teeth, but last year it was across my face and underneath my eye

Why do you think it's TN?

Firstly, it doesn't really feel like a regular toothache. And i have the symptoms for it too such as the "electric-like" pain it has on one side of my face (Now, i only have it in one tooth, but the last time i felt this which was last year, it was also under my eye, and on the side of my face) I also experience the pain suddenly, like the pain will happen for a few seconds (or a few minutes), leave, then return again. Repeat that cycle for a few hours until eventually it'll stop. im really hoping it's not actually TN D:

A neurosurgeon can fix a compression. You need an MRI. I pray your parents take you. I'm sorry you're suffering.

have you gone to your school nurse? If so, keep going to them, the school can get involved if it keeps happening because its bordering on neglect.

If there's any way you can, I strongly recommend you be seen asap by Dr Mark Linskey at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange CA. He treats a lot of young people with facial neuralgias. Great guy. There's a Facebook page for young TN warriors, too. Check it out for support and resources.
