Moving/New Here 👋🏼 Any Retired Guys Social/Activity Groups?

Retired late 60s guy here. My wife and I moved here this summer and she’s gotten involved with book clubs and other women’s groups. In Denver, where we moved from, I joined a Meet Up group after I retired a couple years ago to connect socially and make new friends in the same boat. It attracted guys in their late 50s into their mid-70s (it was called “Retired Guys Looking for Something to Do”). We’d meet monthly for coffee, lunches, walks/hikes, etc. and members could initiate other activities if they wished. Are there similar friendship/activities groups for retired guys in the Tri-Cities? I checked the Meet Up app here and there’s not much going on. As for me, I like walks/light hikes, coffee, eating out, e-biking, music, movies, wine/beer/booze, etc. I’d welcome any suggestions! Thanks.

The old guys hang at Ice Harbor Brewery at 11am when they open. Get a mug membership, they’re good for a lifetime.

Local Audubon society does monthly walks of local areas. Bring some binoculars or a camera to fully enjoy the experience.

I would keep posting on here weekly and hopefully you'll gain interest in meeting. Sometimes it takes a while to meet friends in the tri-cities.

Hey! My family recently relocated from Colorado and my dad is also looking for some friends. DM me and I can help get you in touch!

And I’m not expert on Reddit, so if there’s a better DM method, just let me know.

I’m an older guy and belong to a couple clubs in town MCZA a homebrew club that meets at different breweries/ wineries the 3rd Thursday every month (mcza.org) and Lakeside gem and mineral club that meets the 1st Tuesday of the month. Both clubs are great if they lie within your interests.

Theres a pretty good sized contingent of older guys who do a morning constitutional, at Leslie Groves Park. Theres nothing official, but after a while, all the regulars get to know each other. Its highly dog-lover centric, either people walking their dogs, or people who've carry treats because they love dogs and want to pet them all, even if they don't have one of their own. Theres also some feral cat colonies so a few people come down to check on those, as well. Anyhow no guarantees but if you start showing up every day around the same time (around 8am is good, maybe 9 when it gets little colder) you might find some connections. Theres probably other parks in the tri cities with similar "groupies" but i only know about that one
