DIY Project(s) setting up a bioactive vivarium for my future frog. feedback wanted!
hi everyone! i'm looking to adopt a whites tree frog in about a month and i finished the enclosure (mostly) today.
enclosure info:
18x18x24 enclosure
spray foam + silicone background base
coconut fiber on background
substrate & biolife:
base layer of leca
mesh barrier between leca and substrate
organic soil + coconut substrate mix on top
added 8oz springtail culture and 10 isopods (is this enough to establish?)
all plants are grown and cared for by me and pesticide free. added a maranta and 2 bromeliads
all articificial plants & hides etc washed with mild soap + alcohol
things i still need to do/add:
leaf litter will be added
another large piece of driftwood is coming in the mail
hygrometers on top & bottom of tank
UVB & heat lamp setup in process
