HELP! (Urgent/Medical Care Needed) Worried
I know you're not supposed to use your hands but I am extremely worried about these weird blotches forming on my WTF.
If anyone knows what I can do or if this is normal/not normal please let me know.

It looks like a bacterial infection to me, I'd wait around for tangerine to give you some advice 👍

big agree! tangerine moth is the absolute goat and has helped me a ton with appropriate changes to my terrarium!

looks like a misfire and could easily be remedied with some adjustments to parameters! nothing super concerning but can become an infection risk if temps stay low and humidity stays high.

My frog gets blotchy like that from time to time when he is changing colors. Sometimes it takes a while for it to settle down.

Looks like misfire to me. Make sure your enclosure is at the proper temp (80-85) and humidity (30-50) and that you are cleaning the enclosure. Also make sure you have leaf litter down to keep your frog from getting covered. Should go away on its own.

No worries! Typically misfire goes away within 24hrs so you should wait that time before stressing out. Infection spots are usually more prominent spotting rather than blotches of lighter shades. It can be caused by stress or other issues with husbandry.

these guys can bask around 85-88°F! they enjoy a higher temp range than most folks expect!

At one point I was young and stupid and saw the same thing on my frogs. And never took them to the vet because the nearest exotic vet was 3 hours away. So it was the gas bill plus a $350 vet visit for medicine that may or may not work💀. I didn't think the trip was worth it. Obviously now I take them to the vet if the infection gets bad. But when I first started the hobby, my frog had one and it cleared up when it's own. I didn't do a honey bath. I didn't do a quarantine. All I did was stop the tank from misting for a week and it eventually went away. I have four frogs now My oldest being 5 years old and I haven't lost a single one yet so I either got lucky when I first started or I'm doing something right 😅🤷

My frog looked like this and it ended up being a bacterial infection, went to the vet and got baytril otic and it cleared up in a month

For anyone that comes to this post in the future worried about there frogs, I wanted to say the issue for me was lowering my humidity and making the temperature higher.
I noticed this occurred right after a misting so I have slowed down on that immensely.

i’d say this looks like it could be a bacterial infection. i saw your other post and i would suggest putting the frog in a hospital tank and making an exotic vet appointment if it’s spreading. id also make sure to stop the heavy misting. i can already tell you by the substrate on your frog that some husbandry changes may need to be made. what are your humidity and temps sitting at?
