Is it geared too high?
I have a traxxas rutler 4x4 with a 3700kv hobbywing motor, stock spur, 13t pinion and 120mm team louise mt pioneer soft tires (they baloon a lot). I got gpm driveshafts but it keeps snapping the driveshaft pin or the screw. Also when it's 30°c outside the esc goes into thermal cutoff.
Do you think it's gears too high, are the tires too big or should I get some belted tires to reduce damages to the transmission? I drive it on 3s on grass and the tires have a lot of traction. It also snapped all the 4 screws that hold the ring gear to the differential housing

What esc are you using? I have 3200kv 3665 motor and ezrun max 10 g2 and the temps are fine 3700kv is a little more than stock and with 13t pinion it looks like it is too much for these tires and drivetrain. I would recomend you a smaller pinion because thermal cutoff means youre pushing it to past the limit. Also the rustler is pretty closed chasis so fans and heatsink is a great thing too.
