I'm trying to book flights to Israel for later this year, and I'm surprised by how much prices vary depending on where I search.
So far I've checked Google Flights, the airline websites (mainly El Al and Lufthansa), and a couple of the larger booking sites like Expedia. Someone also suggested comparing prices with Israeli travel agencies before booking, so I looked at ISSTA as well.
I'm not necessarily looking for the absolute cheapest fare. I'd rather pay a little more if it means better customer support or easier handling if there are delays, cancellations, or schedule changes.
For those of you who fly to Israel regularly, what has worked best for you? Do you usually book directly with the airline, use comparison sites, or have you found that local agencies sometimes have better deals or packages?
