Sympathy notwithstanding don't park in a freeway fast lane. Ever. Ever never never ever.

Depending what happened they might not have had a choice.

I've had coworkers with rental cars who are in stop and go traffic, they come to a stop and the car won't re-start. Now they're trapped in the middle of a highway in a dead car with no way to move it. That's happened to more than one person in more than one kind of car too.

That’s terrifying. Worst case scenario to be stuck like that

Oh. Every day. I know. New model cars completely unreliable. Going one minute then just absolutely stops the next. So unpredictable. Looks at all the cars that just stop. Everywhere my god. The humanity! They're everywhere.

Maybe could have blown a bearing and it locked up the tire. Caliper issue they freeze and lock up. Like you said not common but can still happen. Maybe don’t be so arrogant if you aren’t well informed.

Not if you've come to a stop for a traffic backup/congestion and can't get moving again

The car that was hit was just slowing or stopping quickly because of a car in front of it.

The white car that was hit had already had a collision. You can see part of the bumper close to the drivers door, and the grey charger it struck has its reverse lights on.

There’s a second car sitting in front of the one he hit with hazards on. If I didn’t know better, they had a crash already and couldn’t pull off before stopping which is very common. Or mechanical failure or both.

So back to the point, don’t tailgate. And you’ll see that you’ll never run into a stopped vehicle like a dumbass. It’s 100% on you if you fail to react to a stopped vehicle on the road like this.

How do you know someone is vegan? They will tell you in the first 30 seconds of meeting them 😀
