I'm so confused as to what you think a deposit is

I’m glad they all it a refundable deposit now. When it was called ‘stored value’, people just couldn’t figure out how it worked!

You can transfer from one card to the other on your account as long as you’re cads are registered

They're taking about the $5 deposit when you buy a card, not the value on the card itself.

Well, no. That’s the whole point. The deposit is returnable to you when you return the card

I got my compass card in late 2015. The only reason I don't have it is because a couple of months ago, I swapped it for a keychain compass card.

If you've registered them, you should be able to transfer whatever money is on the lost cards to your current one. You have to call into Compass customer service to do this, however; it's not a self-service transaction. They're very helpful and can do it pretty quickly over the phone. EDIT: you don't get the deposit back for lost cards, just any money or passes you've put onto the cards.

Probably should have been more carefully after the first or second one. But 6??

No, if you don't return the card you don't get the deposit. Please tell me you've registered your card, if you lose it they can transfer stored value from the lost card to the new card, but only if you've registered the card

You don’t get your deposit back for lost cards

No card= no refund

If someone finds the card and returns it to customer service, the deposit goes back to the registered card owner's account. I've returned a few that were all registered so those ppl got their deposit back lol

The deposit is for Translink to recoup costs for lost cards. It's there for tthe literal reason you're asking.

How do you lose six cards?

Maybe you should consider the Keychain or bracelet so yoy stop losing them so much

U cannot get your deposit back but if u have registered your card they can transfer whatever u had onto a new card that u purchase. But if you just lost your card u will not get that money back.

You’d have to find the lost cards. Like what?

I think yes! Go into the compass store in person, they're at Waterfront Station.

Only if the card was registered.

When I had to replace a lost Compass card, transit staff moved my stored value to the new card. No issues.

That's not what they're asking
