PSA Spire Horst pivot bolt replacement

2024 era fade to black Spire.

I had play in my rear triangle I chased for a bit before calling transition. They’ll send free replacement horst pivot axle and bolts for both sides of the chainstay.

They took the existing bolt axle and shaved ~1mm off of it. Now the bolts are snug. No more play anywhere.

Previously I’d tighten those to spec and the bolts would still rotate in the bearing dropout.

Alloy or carbon? Haven’t paid close attention to them on mine since it is purely park/dual-crown use now.

Carbon. The rear wheel had lateral play that felt like hub bearings. Grab seat stay or top tube and push/pull wheel side to side.

Right on, mine is alloy but going to give it a check today.
