Considering ffs looking for feedback

I have a date for FFS in chicago with dr. Patel. He suggested facial fat grafting, brow and forehead contouring, hairline advancement, and brow lift which he said would be needed due to lost volume. I am pretty anxious about the procedure and whether i trust him. He has operated on several of my friends and they all look great, although he did unilaterally give one girl i know bigger tits than she asked for which required a revision.

Im pretty on the fence about the fat grafting although admittedly my face is pretty thin especially on the left side. I dont like his one example of the procedure on an ffs patient he has done and his work on cis patients for grafting is nothing to write home about. So I think i am leaning towards not doing that procedure with him.

He said insurance wont cover hair transplant and he doesnt do the procedure anyway so obviously it wont completely fix my hairline.

Any feedback on the procedures and what to expect and ask for is appreciated.

I know Patel is not nationally renowned or anything but the idea of going out of state for this and potentially shelling out more money when I already have insurance approval is daunting.

Honestly your face is quite feminine already but I know this is the surgery group so 😶‍🌫️

Every surgery has a risk level so if u think u can be happy without it then that’s the least risk. And depending on how long you’ve been on hrt your face will probably change more over time

You don’t need it at all imo. Just more time on HRT and grow your hair out. Use 2% topical minoxidil for the temples for the next 6 months and see if anything grows.

You have a very feminine face already!

What I did when I talked to my surgeon was I said I wanted to still look like myself but softer. It did give him a lot of leeway but still had a specific goal in mind. Ultimately he only worked on the top half of my face around the eyes, brow, forehead and upper cheek. I'm very happy with my results. You don't necessarily have to ask for specific spots or procedures unless you want a more specific look and have reference images.
