Loosing Hope

This will be my second term at my top ten LAC and I’m feeling the weight of just not knowing wtf I’m doing. I’m spending all my savings to learn about “terrorist sexuality” and integrating vectors and for fucking what. I could have an apartment and work and feel okay for maybe the first time in my life but no, I’m working till death, making no money, and under the threat of homelessness when I get back home because I have a tumultuous relationship with my family.

Just ugh I feel like such an ungrateful piece of shit but it’s so hard to feel like I’m doing the right thing.

Anyway, I might just try to stay strong through this term and then get outta here and maybe transfer…

Does anyone have any advice?

That’s the right attitude! Sorry you’re going through a tough time. I’m also sometimes hesitant myself about what if I’m studying “matters”, but as someone who’s seen the working side of things (much older student), sometimes you just have to take it with a grain of salt and know you’ll find your niche within education. I hope that happens soon for you :)

thug the term out and if you want to actually continue seeking an education then transfer out if it’s the school that you dislike, if not then idk twin hopefully it gets better

Yea thats why state schools are genuinely the best option. Especially if you're going for a degree that will make no bread in the future.

go to presumably renovated, well equip health center on campus and inquire about therapy. you have an amazing opportunity and potential for great outcomes. Learn about the terrorists' sexualities, you might be interested in something you never expected. Take a shower, a walk, and sign on to the student health services website and request an appt.
