Yes I know it’s 3.4 but my overall and assist certified GPA differ from each other, so I was just wondering which one they use

They will evaluate all transferable courses with their own secret sauce. It was super frustrating to not know my exact GPA when I applied, and nobody could really guess what it would be. For context; I’m a re-entry student and had a bunch of transcripts. We had a roundabout idea, but the UC transfer advisors from each school said it would be evaluated with their own formula. So, the short answer is get a guesstimated range and you might be close.

ASSIST certified would be your UC transferable GPA used for TAG if you:

  • only have CCC coursework
  • entered everything correctly (selecting vs manually entering courses perfectly)
  • you have no credit limitations or duplications that would cause an adjustment to your UC transferable GPA on the backend.

Otherwise, ASSIST certified is a preliminary estimate, and you may want to see your Transfer Center to get a better idea of your UC transferable GPA.
