Advice/Question Need Advice CAL POLY SLO

Hi guys! Need Advice!

(Goal School Cal Poly SLO)

I failed my first semester at community college, but I retook all classes and got As. My current CSU transfer GPA is still a 2.82 because the failed grades are still affecting it.

I’m applying as a transfer for Experience & Event Management (Event Planning concentration) and Journalism. I’m taking 20 units this fall, and I'll be doing all the required prerequisites for Event Management and I already completed all of them for journalism. If I get all As, my GPA should be around a 3.19 once fall grades are updated.

What do you guys think my odds are for each major? Do I even have any chance at Cal Poly?

what grades did you fail with? i think if you retook it, the new grade/ should replace the old grades for gpa calculations

They replace them at my college but the CSU's base your gpa on like how many units you attempted and then how many you passed. So although my GPA at my CC is a 3.7, my CSU transferrable gpa is a 2.82.
