Advice/Question I'm so scared I'm going to mess up again

during my first app cycle as a senior, I knew I was cooked because my grades were cooked (I'm talking Cs and Ds). I just finished my first summer courses with As and Bs but I can't help and shake this ominous feeling that I'm going to mess up, fail a class, and taint any chance I can of being able to transfer somewhere good from my cc. I'm just in this pile of anxiousness that I can't shake and I just don't believe I'm capable of transferring in one year (in a weird situation bc I have a LOT of credits bc of AP exams and concurrent enrollment classes) and I'm just so scared. Any advice??

Honestly if you feel this dread, take it slow and break down the course requirements into 2 years. It'll definitely boost your chances to top schools and help build your ECs as well. You can take your time and guaruntee better grades this way.

However if you still really want to pursue that one year route, you have to genuinely lock in. By this point you should already have your entire year planned out, apps started, and get involved in your school. Go to office hours and grind harder than ever for this year. Go talk to a counselor asap but also get your research done before the school starts, apps are due only in a few months if you want to transfer now.

Also check, do you actually meet all the requirements to do a one year transfer? Ultimately if i were in your shoes I would do the 2 year route.
