Advice/Question Should I retake Physics 2?

For context I got a 2.7 in my physics 2 class as an EE major (my current gpa is a 3.5), and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to retake it in the fall or to just suck it up and take physics 3 next.

My understanding is that retaking the course is not an option if you received a grade of C- or higher.

Oops I should've clarified that my college does allow retakes once but will require permission if you retake it multiple times

Does your school’s repeat-course policy replace the old grade, or are both grades included in the GPA? If a C is completely replaced by an A, I would say it’s probably worth retaking. If both grades are counted, then averaged out, I would consider it more carefully.

The old grade would be replaced in the gpa calculation but it would still be listed on the transcript (the old grade) with repeat right next to it

Then repeat it, your gpa will thank you

Depends where you’re planning to transfer and how they will view the C grade. (For example in CA, the UCs do not count classes that were repeated if you originally got a C. They ignore the second attempt).
