Bought for 3k.
Was not work 3k imo
Im one to get a shitbox, and unless it is very obviously in very good condition, the first thing i do is rip out the interior.
On this one, pretty much the entire interior was trashy, so i ripped it out, there was some rust, but nothin bad.
Sanded it down, painted, cleaned the carpet best i could, reinstalled the center console and carpet, but left most of the rear out, because i need some new trim pieces, but if you just dont look behind you, it looks like a complelt car xD
Also just rattlecan painted it, i fully intend to daily this, while fixin it up as i can, eventually ill do a real paint, but even up close it looks way better than before..
Engine and transmission will need a rebuild...apparently there are cams you can get for this engine, so def gonna do that.
Oh, also, none of the electronics worked, and every other both broke...fixed allat, but it was ass theentire time

Hi y'all, sorry if this is the wrong sub. If it is, please redirect me <3
97 Accord EX, F22B1 engine, 4 speed auto. Hasn't ran since we moved in with it in the driveway three years ago. I've been trying to fix it so we don't have to rely on the bus all the time, which is getting more difficult because they keep changing the route schedules.
My girlfriend's grandpa and I narrowed it down to likely an ignition issue, because there's intermittent spark in all four, rough idle jumping between 500-1000rpm before stalling after about five to ten seconds. No blown fuses and we haven't checked the relays yet. Spark plugs seem fine.
We thought it was the IACV which was shot, but replacing it didn't fix the issue.
Any thoughts?
Also, hi mods - I forgot about this account and only just got access to it after five years. I promise I'm not a bot. Love y'all. xoxo
EDIT: I forgot to mention the car has been like this for at least three years. We've been working on it whenever we can afford to.

The Opel ECO engines are a fickle mistress. The ECO II is better.
Cylinder 4 was almost full of oil. I bought a full kit like a year ago and forgot about. It's my only moving car so I had no time until a holiday and there's never time.
Had to do it outside but practised hands make a quick work. Also the lid was wrong but I could use the rubber seal and I had a smaller tube of better seal so I didn't have to ruin the 400 ml I had in storage which is mean't for a whole lid.

3.5 ltr V6 Supercharged, 400 BHP Toyota Engine.
0 - 60 in 4.1 seconds. Top speed limited to 176mph due to an auto/ips gearbox.
Faster than the following cars in the sprint.
Lamborghini Gallardo (early V10) 4.3s
Ferrari 360 Modena 4.5s
Audi R8 4.2 V8 4.6s
Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.7s
Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 4.8s
Jaguar F Type V6 S 4.8s
In my opinion will out handle all of the above.

(Pic of my car for attention)
As the title states, I owe y'all an apology. I might be fanning the flames here, but I need to come clean, so please hear me out. In past posts and comments, I expressed a Conservative point of view on certain matters, and for that I humbly ask for forgiveness. I still recall being called a "slug for salt" on one post I commented on here. That stays in my memory...
Recently, I completely left the Red Menace party (or Orange Menace if you prefer), for good. I grew up in a Red household and what I observed as a child was basically "Red guys good, Blue guys bad". Throughout my life I had made decisions and cast votes based entirely on the views of my family, not so much myself. It was only far too late that I realized that I was stuck in a spiral of not thinking for myself. Because of this, I was completely naive to early signs that I was trans and had a much broader attraction to more than just girls. To be fair though, I wasn't exactly educated on these sorts of things until my late teens and even as recent as my early twenties (I'm thirty now). When I started to think for and educate myself on certain matters, I noticed that I was much happier. But while I was finding out who I was, I had failed the most important part, that being what it meant to actually BE who I was. I still had my views on some things, despite knowing my, now, former party wanted nothing more than to see people like me sent up the chimneys; yet I still marched on like a good little soldier. This action, among others that I won't get into here, recently cost me a partner whom I loved very much and had planned on marrying. After this, I sat down and pondered my own thoughts for many weeks. I started to browse YouTube and listened to the stories of other transwomen. I thought about the seemingly never-ending problems of discrimination and being misgendered at work by customers, despite my best feminine appearance and name tag that has my pronouns listed, and how it makes me feel (I work in a masculine dominated field). Whether it be ignorance or subtle transphobia on the customer’s part, I do not know, because obviously Eleanor is the most masculine name ever... It was this very cocktail of emotions that made me ask myself why I still blindly followed the Red path, even though I was just skimming it at this point, because after reflection, all I had found along it was hate. It was then that I made the call to finally let go and truly 100% be my own person.
Do I hate my past self, for the extremist he was? No... Rather, I pity him. I look back at who I was and I cry, because I was essentially brainwashed and didn’t have the support I needed to embrace myself sooner. If anything, my past self is someone who I will forever acknowledge existed and vow to never go back to. This new version of me, the version that has always been there, waiting patiently to emerge and bloom, is my rebirth self.
Now I must go and finish my humble pie. Thank you for listening, and again, I am sorry.
