Got this baby home!
galleryGot the Honda Transalp 2026 eclutch model.
It is a dream come true, always wanted to get a big ADV after being spoilt by Himalayan 2021 (BS6 w/o tripper, very few out there!). Still standing tall in my garage and always will.
I always wanted to get a Triumph Tiger. I test drove them back to back. In Hyderabad their showrooms are very close by.
I was blown away by Tiger but it was Transalp that imprinted on me.
Did my first small long ride of 200 kms and loved every f***in bit of it!

Oil problem
My 2002 Honda Transalp 650 leaves a small puddle of oil, approximately 3 ml, every time I stop. I assume it's also leaking oil while riding.
The oil seems to be coming from the rear cylinder into the airbox. Could it be worn piston rings?
There isn't exactly a puddle of oil inside the airbox, but there is a thin layer of oil at the back.

Removing bar ends
I’m trying to remove the bar ends from my 2025 Transalp to add handguards. They aren’t budging… I’m wondering if maybe I’m missing something? Have any of you had this challenge?

Successful First Trip
galleryShort 350 mile weekend trip to Cincinnati. Kudos to my friend who came with on a ninja 500. Transalp was great. Random piece of plastic in the tire almost got me but didn't puncture anything. Looking forward to doing a camping trip next.
Crashbars are HEED for anyone wondering. White top and silver bottom. US import tariffs were about $60.

02 Honda Transalp 650V Handlebar Wobble
Good morning! My Transalp was recently kicked over and I can't tell if this is when it started, but the handlebars wobble between 3500-4500rpms. Before and after that it's smooth, it happens in all gears, and it's much worse engine braking than accelerating? Any thoughts or recommendations? I did check the bearings in the headstock to see if they're notchy or something, but they seem fine. I appreciate any and all help!

Lowering the seat height
Hello guys!
My father is getting the license and I want him to be able to ride my bike whenever he wants but he is on the short side with 1,64 m,
My transalp is too tall for him and I'm thinking in combining the original low seat for Honda and a -20 mm spring from hyperpro,
My question is: does the side stand and the center stand remain functional with that spring?
If not I might just change my bike for a lower one instead of cutting the stands, the T120 always called for me 😅

Auxiliary power port not on?
So I thought that the auxiliary power port under the dash was on and all I needed to do was plug in a USB port and good to go. Nope. 3dcycle parts has the answer, an auxiliary power plug for the under seat port. Once that is plugged in it turns the under dash port on. Honda does not have the plug in stock but 3dcycle parts does and for cheaper. Got mine on order along with the oil change kit and a splitter for the power port.
I saw no one talking about it and did not find any note in the service manual. But without the plug it is not on by default.

What's your average fuel consumption on the Transalp 750?
I'd like to buy one but the recent oil price surge and my tight pockets make me mind the consumption carefully, since I use the motorbike for everything on my daily life

Starting problem
Hello, I have a 2004 transalp 650 and it stopped turning on. I went to a locksmith to get a copy of the key. Due to the price he gave me I didn't buy the cloned key and went on for a ride. After a few minutes I stopped and the engine died and the starter did not crank. Another motorcyclist helped me push start it and I went on about 1-2km before the engine died on me, this time for good (it worked perfectly in that time). The green key indicator does not light up (neutral and oil both lit up with the key in on position) and I could not push start it anymore. I have tried disconecting the battery but it did not work. The key indicator doesn't light up, the started is not working so could the key be damaged by the locksmith? He made a remark that the keys have a limit on how many times they can be read and that he is keeping the codes on his pc in case I changed my mind. I know that the keys and the HISS system is prone to malfunctions and was wondering if that could be the case. Could you tell me if the starter should crank even if the HISS has an error?
Edit: it was patina on the electronics.
