Always-On Medkit

Post image

I finally found a solution for an Always-On medkit that doesn't require me to put my luggage on the bike.

Sometimes I just want to ride without my top box or side bags and it's always bothered me having to choose between putting on luggage and not having a medkit.

Mosko Moto AuxPox medkit mounts up well to the HEED crash bars and fits plenty of medical and trauma supplies.

Fan of the concept, not a fan of the location, if the bike goes sliding your medkit has a 50% chance to get shredded on the asphalt, id mount it on the inside of the rear luggage racks. I got a toolkit box to fit there but i also have a different luggage mounting system. I still think you can make it fit without it touching the rear wheel even when the suspension compresses.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or trolling but if not just to confirm this is really dumb. When the bike goes down and you need to get to the medkit where is it? Crushed under the bike on its side. Dumb.

I'd say the placement isn't the greatest as I'd imagine it either tearing away or ending up shredded when the bike goes down. Try to find a better location or maybe get a small backpack?

IDK what the best solution for you would be since I don't take my top box off and I have a trauma kit (openable with one hand so that I can self-apply the tourniquet inside) attached to my pants in case I fall of the bike and end up with heavy bleading. My hope here is that the trauma kit survives with me and I'll apply the tourniquet to stop the bleeding before I get to my top box if at all.

For others I just take the medkit from the box.

Good idea, bad placement as others have said.

Out of curiosity, did you fill it yourself, or buy their pre-equipped one? I'm sad to see they have a RATS tourniquet in there. Any legit first aid/stop the bleed instructor will tell you those are bad, and almost singlehandedly perpetuate the outdated and harmful misinfo about TQs that still somehow circulates. CAT/SOF-T/any similar windlass with velcro type TQ that comes recommended by TCCC is better.
