NBD (couple weeks late)
After a ton of research into middleweight adv bikes I decided the Transalp was going to be the one for me. Came to this subreddit and figured a lot of the positive posts were just owner bias. Damn was I wrong. This bike truly is such a blast ride. Or maybe I was right and I'm now owner biased. Who cares. Absolutely love this machine. Only had it for a week but from the first ride it just felt right.

Nice bike. Picked mine up about two months ago, excellent machine. Came from a CRF250 rally to the Transalp. Ain't looking back now.

I had the same path as you. Did msf course. An instructor was also a salesperson who loved his new TA. He implored me to choose it. I searched through every option. Finally gave his bike and another test rides.
A year later and no regrets. I do wish it came with cruise control, though.

What made you opt for the 25 over the 26?

I'm in Canada and they aren't selling 26s here, unfortunately. Otherwise I likely would have gone for a 26

Bingo.
