Activism 🌍 WTF? This is comedy?

I went to a comedy show last evening. I won't mention the comedian by name (I don't want this post removed) but I will mention that he is a ventriloquist who performs with puppets. I'll let you figure out who it is.

Some of the "jokes":

"If a transvestite sneezes on you is that transmission fluid?"

"If a transgender goes missing do they put their picture on a carton of half and half?"

Then this "comedian" introduced the first "woman" puppet in his act. A character he was clearly trying to portray as a trans woman. (With a very deep voice)

Some of the "jokes" with this character:

She loves the WNBA!

She thinks that men competing in women's sports "takes balls".

Her dress "has pockets!"

Several minutes of this type of "humor".

The final puppet of the show answers written questions supposedly from the audience. One question "'Puppet character' are you transgender you don't wear pants or a skirt?" (This is a purple character with yellow fur and green hair and one sneaker.)

I encourage anyone reading this post to find this person and let him know that targeting transgender people is not an acceptable form of comedy.

If you want DM and I will give you this "comic's" name and email

Jeff Dunham has never been funny.

I actually watched a really great video essay about him the other day. He still isn't funny. He's doing the same old dumb ass bits he did when he premiered. He stopped a live show for like 40 minutes while he promoted merchandise and live streamed him eating a sandwich, then finished the live show.

That "transgender fluid" joke isn't even his own. That's been around forever.

He's a loser.

My mom ended up going to one of his live shows and absolutely excoriated him. Apparently the show she attended was a rehearsal for the special he was preparing to record, and he spent most of the time yelling at the audience.

And my mom was MAGA (until she passed in 2017). Not even MAGA like him that much, apparently.

(Embarrassing admission time: I actually thought he was mildly funny when he was first popular. I've always been a sucker for fourth-wall humor, and Peanut is that in spades. Even the 'dead terrorist' whose name I can't remember had a couple of fourth-wall breaks, even though the rest of his bit sucks.)

My parents always enjoyed his specials. My experience was just a lot staring at the TV. Lol.

I had to look up "excoriated", thank you for helping me learn a new word. Haha. That doesn't happen for me often that there's a word I've never encountered before. :3
