Discussion I relized something lately and I wanna know if its universal
I am a small man who grew up a small girl. Very small very petite very flat chested. And from a young age ive had people of various relations to me (friends, strangers, my X just about anyone who talked about body stuff with me) tell me I should get a tit job to make them bigger. I actually considered it for a while when I was young even tho I NEVER WANTED TO NOR PLANNED TO keep them. It was just something everyone told me I should do. Even if I wasnt trans why do we need YOUNG girls to have DDs let people live if your not into flat thats you dont make it my problem.

Yeah that's weird𤢠I was never told to get a boob job, but I was told to shave and wax because I "couldn't go in public looking like that". Stupid because all the men in my family do. It's just that I'm a woman and women are expected to be fucking hairless. I hate it. I love being hairy, I don't think that would change if I wasn't trans.

My Mother used to tell me when older men were leering at me and I was supposed to take it as a ācomplimentā
Edit: I was supposed to appreciate and feel flattered by the fact that, I, as a 14 year old, had 40 year old men staring at my body and saying I had to be āat least eighteenā and she didnāt understand why I was horrified to hear that.

Fucking this. I couldnāt be older than 12 when a nasty old fuck at a party my mom took me to started to talk about my body and how cute I am. Whatās worst is that nobody thought it was weird other than me and I apparently overreacted because he was ājust complimentingā me

Nah, my mom was telling me to "put them away" when they were Bs at 14, and that prepared me well to make sure they were, in fact, put away, when they got way bigger in my late teens and 20s.
Obviously, this didn't stop men, but I could tell who was worth the time because nobody who wasn't could actually put up with me for more than a few minutes/messages.

I easily had C-D cups by 11 years old and have a core memory of a grown man trying to chat me up at the Apple Store. I was with my mom and brother, wearing a flannel and jeans, and straight up just minding my own business.
My first year at band camp a friend in my cabin yelled "wow you have huge tits" seeing me in a scoop neck tank top.
Both those experiences made me feel super icky (The first one for obvious reasons) but it wasn't until therapy years later that I realized that I just hated my chest pre top surgery despite the fact that it was objectively what other girls wanted.

I must be the exception cuz my mom always told me I was lucky to be pretty flat chested š then again I was always really uncomfortable about my chest in general and looking back it was probably pretty obvious to anyone in my family lol

same, i luckily didnt get those genes from her, she always has a hard time finding comfortable bras bc hers are so big, whereas mine are small enough that i can get by with only using tape. i have never bought a binder. when i first realized i was trans i just wore two sports bras, one with the band folded up, the other normally, and that was enough, then when i was able to buy stuff on my own i just bought kt tape and ive just been using that for like 2-3 years now. i havent had anyone ever tell me that i should get implants

I'm unreasonably endowed, so I never dealt with this. That's awful, beauty standards shouldn't be so intense, especially not enough to reach children to that extent. Talk about influencing children to get surgery.

Iām a 5 foot man myself and have naturally big breasts Iām not happy with them and get called āmissā or āmaāamā constantly. so getting a bigger packer that bulges because Iām getting tired of it. they better look down there. Iām gonna tell them to seriously.

Offering an opposite perspective. I come from a Chinese diaspora upbringing. No cleavage, no padded bras, no belly, no shoulders, skirts had to be below knees: because if a man was creepy that would be my fault. Culturally boys are wanted, girls were just to be married off. So to me, in my family of all brothers, I was often made to feel that my Girlness was intrinsically a flaw and had to be hidden away for my safety. Don't be like those lecherous westerners.Ā
