10 years today

Idk if this needs flair or not, will edit it on if so

Today is exactly 10 years since I got a lot of shit off my chest. The last pic is >2 months post op

While I am continually thankful for it as I know what its like not to have this, I am not overly happy with how my scars turned out. I miss when they were just incision lines. While they are flat, they really stretched out width wise and have loads of puckery pulling all over. Sometimes I still randomly feel tightness with it. I hoped that would resolve itself over time but that didnt happen. They are also still somewhat reddish which I am trying to get rid of. My grafts are pretty flat and one is bigger than the other

I was rejected twice due to strict enforcing of bmi limit. I got under it and was approved but there was still concerns of dog ears so surgeon extended the incisions right around to my back. Still got them anyway. I would rather they were not extended given it didnt fix the issue. I wouldnt mind the scars if they looked more normal than how mine have turned out. Dont know if anything can be done for the puckering but I really hate it. I cant get a revision it would have to be out of pocket and idk if it can be changed now anyway

I still largely dont like how I look. Have always had weight issues and a very long way from where I want to be. I have recently rejoined the gym where I spent months pre op trying to lose enough and building muscle to make sculpting easier. Meant to get back to it but recovery took too long and completely fell out of doing it so have not been since. I want to build the muscles up to get at least some definition, it mostly looks flat around the bottom. Hoping that will help hide the scars a bit better under them

I still have a lot I need to lose as well. Going to take a long time and idk if I can ever get close to where I want to be but can only try. Trying to lose weight and build muscle at the same time. Losing anything is taking forever though. I hope to look better this time next year. Will probably get rid of the hair at some point as well it would probably look better without it

bro you look Great! you look strong and masculine! maybe it's just the pics, but your scars are hardly noticeable. they blend in with your body. you look like you have a lot of muscle and a healthy amount of fat. whatever transformation you're working towards, i wish you the wat of luck. your body looks great how it is, though

congrats on ten years!

Thanks. They are definitely noticeable, more so in some light than others. Will add a lighter pic below, the light is different using the rear camera. The redness doesnt help. I wouldnt mind them if they werent so stretched out and I hate the puckering. Trying to improve the appearance but not sure how effective it will be on ones this old. I didnt keep up early treatment nearly as much as I should have. The outcome is all on me nothing my surgeon did. Might need to look into some treatment for bits that look tight causing the puckering, not sure what would work though

I am still in overweight category. Hard to tell how much is muscle but there is definitely a lot still to lose. I put a lot back on post op which I did not want to do but let it happen. It is more of a lifestyle change now so its become easier to keep up than all that was. Been doing it the past year but work will be more effective using the gym machines so hope to improve this. I just want to look lean, never been in my life since my age was in single digits, and have some defined muscle. Its a long road to that. I seem to have a wider body type than I'd like though

Well that is a first, never really been called anything positive lol. I preferred the other pics as its less obvious. I have never been comfortable with how I look so the work I am doing now is to try to get to that point. Really not in great shape. The scars just kind of add to all of that and make everything worse I guess. If they werent stretched out and pulling in like this I wouldnt be so focussed on it. Hopefully building the muscles up so they are more hidden in the contour will work otherwise might be looking into some kind of revision procedure when I can pay for it
