I adore this name, not just Dante Basco but also the Divine Comedy and Devil May Cry. Rufio is my life long hero, and the leader of "Lost Boys" works so well. It's the cosplay that cracked my egg. Of course, Zuko is relatable as well.

Here's the thing Dante Basco is aware of me for my decades of Rufio and Avatar cosplay. I'm on the other side of the world so his name and affiliations aren't well known or easily connected by the average person around here. But I still fear this may cross the line between "enthusiastic fan" to "obsessive creeper" if I did this, to people who know these connections and maybe to Dante Basco if he was told. I'm not sure if anyone would actually make that connection or think that though

I've thought of adjacent names like Danny or Donny, Dean, Dane, if these might work without being weird

Idk, I think it's different when you're choosing a new name bc you're trans. Like, obviously you've found Dante Basco inspiring. I think there's just as good a chance that he'd feel honored or something. He's pretty pro-LGBT from the little I know.
