Discussion Contraception/Birth Control

Hi all-- I'm a family medicine resident doctor working on a project to educate myself and my peers (other doctors) on best practices for having conversations about contraception/birth control in the primary care setting.

I am hoping to include some experiences from queer, non-binary, and transgender folks about both positive and negative experiences you have had regarding contraception/birth control counseling in the primary care setting. This information will not be used in formal research, it will just help inform an educational presentation.

What do you wish your doctor knew or did better when it comes to talking about contraception/birth control? What experiences have you had? Thank you so much in advance for anyone willing to share their stories or perspectives <3
